When YAHUAH our ALU'AH gives us a Command, we must obey diligently, and not make excuses nor alter the Command to how we see it should be done. That's exactly what Saul did, he heard the Command from YAHUAH through the prophet Samuel, but He decided to do what he thought was right in his own eyes. Then, when confronted by Samuel, Saul used the excuse that was what the people wanted. Saul feared the opinion of man more than YAHUAH Most High. Samuel tells Saul something sobering to ponder over in our time now: to obey is better than sacrifice... And YAHUAH sees rebellion in the same way as the sin of witchcraft.
If a man breaks Torah, he would be judged the same way as any other sinner who breaks any other Command or Law of YAHUAH.
