On this Veterans Day, we pause to reflect on the immense sacrifices made by the individuals who have worn the uniform of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Here at Fairview Cemetery, we are privileged to be the final resting place for many of these American heroes dating back to the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the U.S. Civil War, and the Spanish-American War. We're the final resting place for men and women who helped liberate Europe in World War I and World War II, who fought in Korea and Vietnam.

May we never take for granted the liberty and the country they helped to protect. We remember and honor them today and every day.

The cemetery is kept beautiful by donations to honor our loved ones that have gone before us. There are several ways to donate to help with upkeep:

1. Come by the cemetery this weekend and drop off your donation. There will be someone at the cemetery building today until 6:00 pm, Sunday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Monday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

2. Venmo! See the picture for the QR code, and make sure to put "cemetery donation" in the comments if you choose this method.

3. Mail your donations to:

On May 17, several volunteers came to help clean up the cemetery as part of "We Love Frankford Day," organized by the First Christian Church. Fences and headstones were scrubbed, old decorations and flowers were discarded, and flags were placed on the graves of veterans, Masons, Rebekahs, and Odd Fellows.

Thank you to everyone for your hard work to honor this space and those that occupy it!

WORK DAY - May 10, 2025

Members of the cemetery board and community volunteers will be having a Cemetery Work Day on May 10, 2025. Work begins at 8:00 am.

We will be:
- picking up limbs, litter, and old decorations
- scrubbing headstones
- cleaning the white fence on the south and west sides

This work day is the same day as the First Christian Church's "I Love Frankford" Day. We welcome all volunteers!
