Dear Parents of students,
We are excited to let you know about a new 4 week series that we are starting here at FBCFH. It’s called Messes and Miracles. The whole goal of this series is that by looking at the life of Moses, students will relate to God’s miraculous plans being accomplished through ordinary, broken people. We want to encourage them in their own messiness and embolden them to step into God’s call on their life to bring the gospel to the world through the Holy Spirit. Here’s the breakdown for the next 4 weeks:

Week 1: Moses in the Basket
Bottom Line: You are a miracle!

Week 2: Moses the Murderer and the Burning Bush
Bottom Line: Your biggest miracle could come on the heels of your biggest mess.

Week 3: The Exodus
Bottom Line: Put your limitations in God’s hands and see that His power is limitless.

Week 4: Wilderness
Bottom Line: Messes don’t disqualify you from making a mark.

Here at FBCFH, our heart is for students to for students to know God and grow in their relationship with Him. It’s also our desire to partner with you—the real youth minister to your son or daughter. That’s why we have also included a few discussion questions for you to use to engage your son or daughter in conversation about what God is speaking to their hearts. I wouldn’t pull out the sheet unless you need to, but glance at the questions before they get home from church and try to engage them with one or two of the questions. If they don’t want to have a conversation, you can blame it on us and tell them we asked you to!
We are praying for you, that you would have meaningful interactions with your son or daughter, and that we would all begin to embrace the miracles God is making out of our messes.

Dear Parents of Students,

We are excited to let you know about a new 3-week Wednesday series that we are starting tomorrow here at FBCFH. It’s called “Spoiler Alert: The Christmas Story Foretold.”

Here’s the breakdown for the next 3 weeks:

Week 1: We are grafted into God’s family through Jesus
Christmas Story: Mary & Joseph and the Birth of Jesus: Matthew 1:18-24
Prophecy: The Messiah would be born from the line of David

Week 2: Jesus is the shepherd and the lamb that was slain.
Christmas Story: The Shepherds Visit Jesus: Luke 2:1-20
Prophecy: The Messiah would be a great shepherd and die for his people

Week 3: Jesus is the King and the gift.
Christmas Story: The Wise Men Visit Jesus: Matthew 2:1-11
Prophecy: Kings would bring gifts to the Messiah

Here at FBCFH, our heart is for students to know God and grow in their relationship with Him. It’s also our desire to partner with you in discipling your son or daughter.

That’s why we have also included a few discussion questions (www.fbcfh.org/Youth) for you to use to engage them in conversation about what God is speaking to their hearts.

I wouldn’t pull out the sheet unless you need to, but glance at the questions before they get home from church and try to engage them with one or two—even on the drive home. If they don’t want to have a conversation, you can blame it on us and tell them we asked you to!

We are praying for you, that you would have meaningful interaction with your son or daughter; and that this Christmas season, your entire family would experience a renewed relationship with Jesus.
