THE CHICK-FIL-A SABBATH RIGHTS VIOLATION

When The Wrong Sabbath Is Protected And The True Sabbath Is Punished

In recent months, a lawsuit involving a Chick-fil-A franchise in Austin, Texas, has quietly revealed a growing issue that reaches far beyond one employee, one restaurant, or one court case. The case centers around a Christian woman named Laurel Torode, a believer who observes the biblical seventh-day Sabbath from Friday sunset to Saturday sunset. She was hired with the understanding that her Sabbath convictions would be respected. For several months, the arrangement worked. Then suddenly the accommodation was withdrawn. She was told that if she wished to keep her managerial position, she would have to work during the Sabbath hours God had sanctified. When she refused to violate her conscience, she was pressured to accept a lower-paying position and was eventually terminated.

What makes this matter especially striking is that the business involved is part of a company famous for defending Sunday rest on religious grounds. Chick-fil-A has long been praised for closing its doors on Sunday to allow workers a day of worship and rest. Yet now, a woman seeking protection for obedience to the seventh-day Sabbath finds herself fighting for her job in federal court.

To many, this may appear to be only a labor dispute. But to students of Bible prophecy, it is something far deeper. It is another sign that the world is moving steadily toward the very conflict the Scriptures foretold long ago, a conflict over worship, obedience and the law of God.

The Bible plainly declares which day God sanctified. Genesis 2:2-3 says: “And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” (Genesis 2:2-3)

The fourth commandment is equally clear: “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God.” (Exodus 20:8-10)

Yet despite the clarity of Scripture, history reveals a long process through which human pagan tradition gradually replaced the biblical Sabbath with Sunday observance. This change did not come from Christ or the Apostles. No verse in the Bible transfers holiness from the seventh day to the first day of the week. The transition came through false papal church tradition and later through civil enforcement.

History records that in A.D. 321, Roman Emperor Constantine issued the first widespread Sunday law, commanding rest on “the venerable day of the sun.” Over time, church councils strengthened Sunday observance while opposition to seventh-day Sabbath keeping increased. Those who remained faithful to the biblical Sabbath were treated as extremists, rebels, or troublemakers. Throughout the centuries, many Sabbath keepers faced persecution, imprisonment, loss of property and even death because they chose obedience to God above human tradition.

The modern world likes to believe such religious intolerance belongs only to the past. Yet cases like this one reveal that the same spirit still exists beneath the surface. Society is generally willing to defend religious freedom so long as it does not conflict with popular customs, economic interests, or majority religious traditions. But when believers seek protection for the seventh-day Sabbath, resistance appears.

This growing tension is exactly what prophecy warned would happen in the last days. Daniel 7:25 speaks of a power that would attempt to alter God’s divine law: “And he shall speak great words against the most High and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws.” (Daniel 7:25) The only commandment dealing with sacred time is the Sabbath commandment. Bible prophecy foretold a system that would attempt to change God’s appointed time of worship and persecute those who remained faithful to Him.

The book of Revelation carries this warning even further. Revelation 13 describes a final global crisis centered around worship and enforced obedience. Revelation 13:16-17 says: “And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark.” (Revelation 13:16-17) This prophecy points to a coming time when economic pressure and civil power will be used against those who refuse to conform to a false day of worship.

Revelation 14:12 describes God’s faithful people in the final crisis: “Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” (Revelation 14:12) Notice that the final remnant are identified by two things: faith in Jesus and obedience to the Commandments of God.

Ask yourself, which of the Ten Commandments that major religious and political powers disregard, is it murder, is it lying or is it the Seventh-day Sabbath.

What makes the Chick-fil-A case so revealing is the contradiction it exposes. Under their religious liberty laws, society readily respects and legally protects Sunday observance because it aligns with majority religious culture. Yet when believers ask for accommodation to keep the seventh-day Sabbath established by God Himself, they are treated as inconvenient burdens on the system. This reveals a bias reality: not all religious convictions are treated equally. As foretold in Bible prophecy.

The prophet Isaiah warned of a time when truth would fall in the streets and justice would become distorted. Isaiah 59:14 says: “And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.” (Isaiah 59:14)

As the world moves closer to the end, the divide between God’s Commandments and human religious systems will become increasingly visible. Economic pressure, workplace discrimination, social hostility, and eventually legal enforcement will test the conscience of God’s people. Yet Scripture gives hope to those who remain faithful. Jesus said: “And ye (Sabbath Keepers) shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” (Matthew 10:22)

Cases like this are reminders that prophecy is not theory. The foundations for future persecution are already appearing quietly within modern society.

The issue before the world is the same question asked long ago by Elijah on Mount Carmel: “How long halt ye between two opinions? if the LORD be God, follow him.” (1 Kings 18:21) Soon every soul will have to decide whom they will obey.

The Seventh-day Sabbath: A Jewish Custom Or For All Of Humanity?

Our Heavenly Father loves all of humanity with a love that is beyond human comprehension. His love transcends our finite reasoning and understanding.

For almost two thousand years, Satan has misled and misguided, especially Christians, and convinced them through early church fathers that God intended to do away with the TRUE Bible Sabbath and replace it with Sunday, the first day of the week. He has convinced the Christian world that "Sunday is the LORD'S DAY" and that we keep Sunday to honor and commemorate the "resurrection of our Adonai YAHSHUA Hamashiach" (Our Lord Jesus Christ).

The supposed reason, according to the two primary church fathers, Justin Martyr and Barnabas (not to be confused with the Barnabas mentioned in the Book of Acts), is that Sunday was the day Christians gathered to honor the resurrection, to escape persecution, and to distance themselves from Jews.

Then, in 321 A.D., Constitine the Great issued the first Sunday Law edict, declaring Sunday as the official day of rest and worship in the Pagan Roman Empire for pagans and Christians alike.

Between 363 and 364 A.D., at the Council of Laodicea, the Papacy and the Roman Church changed the solemnity of the TRUE SABBATH from the seventh day to the first day of the week, for all Christians to follow.

However, there were still faithful followers of YAHSHUA who kept the TRUE BIBLE SABBATH, the Seventh day of the week, throughout the centuries down to our time. He has also gone so far as to convince the majority of Christians and the world that the seventh day Sabbath is a part of "Jewish Custom and practice.

While such is partially true, the Bible Sabbath is not just for "JEWS ONLY and Sunday is not the CHRISTIAN SABBATH!"

The Bible Sabbath existed 2600 years before the Nation of Israel even came on the scene. It was given to all of humanity, not only to the Jews (Mark 2:27-28). The TRUE LORD'S DAY is the seventh day of the week, not Sunday, the first day of the week. (Revelation 1:10; Mark 2:27-28)

I truly believe that the reason why our Heavenly Father has allowed the TRUE SABBATH to be brought into the NATIONAL SPOTLIGHT is to call the attention of not only the citizens of the United States but the whole world to the biblical reality of the TRUE DAY of worship that He Himself has established since the creation of our world.

That there will be NONE left in ignorance or darkness as to what day is the TRUE BIBLE SABBATH, and that the first day of the week SUNDAY never has nor ever will be the TRUE LORD'S DAY or the supposed Christian Sabbath!

To all the critics and skeptics who choose to ignore the plain statements of the Scriptures and misinterpret the Bible, our Heavenly Father says the following through the Apostle John in 1 John 2:3-6. Then He also makes it very clear that when we reject the PLAIN utterances of the Scriptures, we are not REJECTING the counsel of man but the COUNSEL OF YAHWEH!

"And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. He that said, I know him, and keeps not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps his word, in him truly is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. He that said he abides in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.

"But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him." (Luke 7:30 AKJV)

Also, for those who will try to misinterpret Hebrews 4:9 and say, "Jesus is my REST!" Please pay very close attention to how plain the NIV states what Hebrews 4:9 is saying within the CONTEXT of chapter 4:9-11. "There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God." This refers to a literal day of rest, not just spiritual rest. How do we know this to be TRUE? (Hebrews 4:9 NIV) Because the Greek word for Sabbath in this verse is σαββατισμός (sabbatismos), it is a unique noun that appears only once in the entire New Testament. "

The USA in Bible Prophecy Part 1

Is the USA mentioned in Bible prophecy? Many people speculate about the USA in prophecy to whether the President is the antichrist and as new Presidents take the hot seat, you will find many websites declaring this new President as the antichrist.

But this is just pure speculation, with no Biblical truth to back it up. The little horn of Daniel 7, the sea beast of Revelation 13 and the w***e of Babylon is the main antichrist system. And history shows that these entities have been fulfilled perfectly in the Papal Church of Rome. See the REAL bible antichrist for plenty of evidence.

But what we want to find out here is whether or not America is mentioned in Bible prophecy. In the book of Revelation chapter 13, we see two beasts. The 'sea' beast and the 'earth' beast. So there isn't just one main player in the end times, but two. The sea beast of Revelation 13 as mentioned above is the main antichrist system, which is the Roman Catholic Church, and the earth beast is known as the 'false prophet' (Revelation 16:13). It's this false prophet, the earth beast that we will be focusing on.

Now many people are waiting for one person to fulfill the role of antichrist. They believe that the antichrist is yet to appear, and follow this "emergence of antichrist" teaching that evangelicals are pushing.

But this teaching came from the Catholic Jesuits as a counter to the great Protestant reformation which revealed the Roman Catholic Church as the main end time antichrist. This teaching of a "future" antichrist by the Jesuits was proclaimed and spread around the world to take the focus off the Papal Church of Rome as being the true antichrist system, and it unfortunately worked, because countless Christians around the world are now waiting for this single charismatic leader to appear as antichrist.

Fortunately you can find the truth here, as we use the Bible as the only source of authority, together with actual historical facts.

Defining the Sea Beast
Let's take a brief look at the sea beast of Revelation 13 first and look at the defining characteristics of it. This will then lead us onto finding America in prophecy. You will see that this sea beast is synonymous with the little horn power of Daniel 7.

Revelation 13:1 ...'And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea.'

A beast in prophecy represents a kingdom power (see Daniel 7:17). The sea (water) in Bible prophecy represents people, nations, tongues (see Revelation 17:15). So this kingdom rises to power amongst many different peoples, nations and tongues, which can only be the nations of Europe.

The little horn power also arose to power amongst the other ten horns, which represented the 10 kingdoms of Europe after the fall of Rome. So we have a definate match with the Roman Catholic Church, as she rose to power in amongst the kingdoms of Europe after the fall of Rome.

Revelation 13:3 ...'And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.' ... So this kingdom power would receive a deadly wound, which would then later be healed. In 1798 the French marched into Rome and captured the pope. He then died in captivity and the power of the Papal Church was gone.

Everyone thought that the Papal Church was dead and had come to an end. But in 1929 Mussolini signed a treaty with the Roman Catholic Church giving them political power once again. So the beast that was, and is not, and yet is, comes back to life - The Roman Catholic Church!

Revelation 13:5 ...'And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.' ... Speaking great things and blasphemy is the same as what the little horn did.

This beast continues for 42 months, which is 1260 days. This is prophetic time (see day for a year principle) and actually equates to 1260 years. This is the exact same time period that the little horn power continues. The Roman Catholic Church came to power in 538AD and continued for 1260 years until 1798.

Revelation 13:7 ...'And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.' ... So this beast is a persecuting power, just like the little horn in Daniel 7.

The Papal Church of Rome (Roman Catholic Church) persecuted and killed millions upon millions of Christians during it's reign of power between 538-1798.

Revelation 13:10 ...'He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.' ... So the last description of this beast confirms that it will go into captivity and be killed. Well, we know that the Papal Church of Rome went into captivity and received it's mortal wound in 1798.

The next verse in Revelation 13 describes John seeing this second beast rising out of the earth. So this second beast comes to power around about the time that the Papal church goes into captivity in 1798.

Is there a nation that rose to power around this time? Yes! That nation is America. In 1776 the USA declared it's independence and became a recognized world power by the time of 1798. So the timing fits America, as no other new nation came to power on earth during that time the way America did.

America the Earth Beast
America the earth beastWhat about the fact that this second beast came out of the earth. Does that have any significance? Let's look at the verse

Revelation 13:11 ...'And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.'

Well, if you noticed, the first beast rises out of the sea (water), which represented peoples, nations and tongues, a very populated area with many different countries and people and languages which was Europe.

So logic would tell you that this second beast which rises out of the "earth" is the opposite, and would symbolically mean that it arose in an area that does NOT have many different countries, peoples, and languages. This matches the nation of America, as it rose to power out of a sparse, single country, opposite to the many nations of Europe.

Remember, the words "sea" and "earth" are symbolic, and do not have literal meanings.

The land of America was sparsely populated until the 1700's. Many of the first people who populated the new land of America were the Christians who were fleeing the persecutions of the Roman Catholic Church. Now this earth beast also has horns like a lamb and speaks like a dragon.

What could that mean? Well, we know from Daniel 7 that horns in Bible prophecy is a symbol of kingdoms / power. Were there two kingdom or government powers that America was based on? Yes! The Constitution and the Bill of rights, which stand for Civil liberty and Religious liberty. So we have two kingdoms - the civil kingdom and the religious kingdom. This nation of America was based upon 'Republicanism' (a government without a king) and 'Protestantism' (a church without a pope).

In 1754, John Wesley in his note on Revelation 13, said of the earth beast, "He is not yet come, tho he cannot be far off, for he is to appear at the end of the forty two months of the first beast." - Explanatory notes upon the New Testament, 1791 ed, Vol 3, page 299

The reign of the Sea Beast (Papal Church) came to an end in 1798. So the Earth Beast would arise after this. When did America become a true world power? In the Mid 1800's

The lamb represents Jesus in the Bible and this nation was lamb like in it's principles, in that it established religious freedom, away from the persecuting power of the Papal Church of Rome. Freedom to choose, just as God has given us freedom to choose to follow Him or not (note, it would be an unwise choice not to follow Him).

The people who fled to America were escaping the oppression of Papal Rome, who were forcing people to follow their doctrines. But even though the nation of America was based upon the right formula - separation of Church and State and Religious freedom. Unfortunately, Revelation 13:11 confirms this nation of America will turn and speak as a dragon.

Satan is the "dragon". Therefore, America will one day soon be speaking for Satan!

It has always been satan's aim to crush God's people. He has tried it with the Roman Church, and now he is going to use the USA also to persecute God's true remnant church.

Revelation 13:12 ...'And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.'

America will become a persecuting power just like the first beast, the Roman Catholic Church, and will cause the earth to bow down to the authority of the Papal Church, the antichrist. They will start doing away with the constitution on which the nation was built upon and end up deceiving the world into worshipping the Papal church, which is the first beast.

And what are we seeing today? We are seeing the influence of the Roman Catholic Church upon the American Government. The constitution, the bill of rights, and the freedoms that Americans once enjoyed are slowly but surely being done away with.

Many of the freedoms, like freedom of speech are being taken away from the people. But don't think that the American government will suddenly demand worship of the Papal Church. No, Satan is the arch deceiver and he is using deception to "cause" the people to worship the first beast. Which is why we need to be rooted in the Word of God.

This earth beast is also known as the false prophet (Revelation 19:20; 20:10). To be a false prophet, you would have to appear to be a follower of Jesus, but your teachings and actions expose you as false. Just like American leaders say they are Christians, but their actions are now showing them to be false.

America began as a lamb, but is now speaking like a dragon and is showing herself to be the "false prophet".

Revelation 13:13-15 ...'And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, and deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.'

So this beast does great miracles and wonders and even causes fire to come down from heaven. Now there is a movement in America that has been growing for some years, and that movement is the 'fresh fire' movement, where people believe they receive spiritual fire (the Holy Spirit) which brings about things like speaking gibberish, which is NOT true Bible tongues, falling about laughing and other silly things, and they call it revival?!

This is not of God, it is false "fire". The healing movement has also been gaining great strength over the years. Many people world over are being deceived by these things, just as Bible prophecy in Revelation says above.

Please note: There will be false "signs and wonders" performed in America which will deceive the people.

Now if you notice, the earth beast also makes an image to the first beast (Roman Catholic Church). Many highly regarded protestant leaders are campaigning for not only a union of Church and State, but to enforce a Sunday law.

This would be an exact copy of the Papal Church in Rome, which is a church-state power, that has started "causing" nations in Europe to enforce Sunday laws again. This image to the beast is not going to be a literal statue like many believe. This belief was brought about by the Jesuits to take people's eyes off the Roman Church.

This image is a prophetic symbol, just like the many other symbols in Revelation, and it is a symbol of "Protestant America", causing a union of church and state, with the church directing the government, just like Papal Rome.

Take a look at this quote from the 'Christian Coalition of America' website:

"You have come to the largest conservative grassroots political organization in America. Christian Coalition offers people of faith the vehicle to be actively involved in impacting the issues they care about - from the county courthouse to the halls of congress.

The coalition is a political organization..... Today Christians need to play an active role in government again like never before." - Website of Christian Coalition-www.cc.org/about_us (2009)

THIS IS THE IMAGE OF THE BEAST COMING TOGETHER

church stateSo we have the sea beast (Roman Catholic Church), the earth beast (America) and the image of the (sea) beast (Protestants forming a church state union in America).

America (earth beast) will cause the earth to bow down to the image of the Roman Catholic Church, which will be the church-state union in America. And notice in Revelation 13:14 that the earth beast tells the people of the world to make the image of the beast. What does this mean? It means that it will be the people who call for the church to direct government, for the sake of "peace and unity".

Right now, there is a worldwide ecumenical movement to unite all churches and faiths together, for the sake of "peace", which is being led by Rome. But we know from the Word of God that TRUE Christians are to stay separate, which is why in Revelation 18, God calls for His people to COME OUT of Babylon. But with the state of the world today, the people are ripe to be deceived into accepting this "one world church" system, and it will be America who leads the way, causing the world to worship this image of Papal Rome.

Satan wants to divert your worship from God to him, and he is doing it through the Roman Catholic Church and America. You may say that you cannot see how this could happen, but friend, Bible prophecy never fails!

The walls of separation between church and state in America are slowly but surely coming down, and very soon there will be religious laws enforced in America and the world will follow. You need to choose who you want to worship. Do you want to worship God and enter eternal life?

Or do you want to follow the world in worshiping satan, and enter the lake of fire? It sounds harsh, but it's the truth. The choice is yours. Be an end time saint as described in Revelation 14:12 and keep the commandments of God.

So is America in Bible prophecy? Absolutely! America is the two horned earth beast of Revelation 13, and you will see it fulfilling the role of the earth beast more and more over the coming years.
