ALL FOR YOU, JESUS. 🤍
Callie Brown
“Whatever you do [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] Him, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.”
— Colossians 3:17 AMP
There is something tucked inside this Scripture that grabbed my heart:
Whatever you do.
Not just the ministry things.
Not just the things we call holy.
Not just prayer, worship, or the moments when we feel particularly close to GOD.
Whatever. You. Do.
The laundry.
The meeting.
The business.
The conversation nobody else hears.
The dream GOD placed inside of you.
The mundane Tuesday morning when nothing feels particularly spiritual.
The decision you’ve been wrestling with.
The assignment that feels too big.
The season you don’t completely understand.
ALL FOR YOU, JESUS.
Sometimes I think we complicate surrender because we imagine GOD asking us to manufacture something enormous for HIM.
But what if HE is asking for what is already in our hands?
What if worship isn’t only the song coming out of our mouths—but the way we handle what HE entrusted to us?
Excellence can become worship.
Integrity can become worship.
Kindness can become worship.
Rest can become worship.
Building can become worship.
Waiting can become worship.
Even starting over can become worship when it is placed into the hands of JESUS.
But don’t miss this part:
“…in [dependence upon] Him.”
There it is.
We were never supposed to do all of this for JESUS while trying to do it without JESUS.
That will wear you out.
HE isn’t standing at the finish line waiting to see whether you can accomplish enough for HIM.
HE is walking with you.
Leading you.
Teaching you.
Strengthening you.
Correcting you.
Opening doors.
Closing the wrong ones.
Giving you wisdom when you don’t know what to do next.
JESUS isn’t simply the recipient of the offering.
HE is the ONE who helps us carry it to the altar.
And suddenly, ALL FOR YOU, JESUS becomes more than a beautiful statement.
It becomes a way to live.
Before I speak
All for YOU, JESUS.
Before I build
All for YOU, JESUS.
Before I make the decision
All for YOU, JESUS.
When nobody applauds
Still for YOU, JESUS.
When obedience costs me something
Still for YOU, JESUS.
And when the promise finally arrives
Especially then. All for YOU, JESUS.
Because perhaps one of the greatest freedoms we can experience is reaching the place where we no longer need everything we do to point back to us.
It can point to HIM.
The gifts came from HIM.
The opportunity came through HIM.
The strength came through HIM.
The provision came from HIM.
The wisdom came from HIM.
The breath in our lungs belongs to HIM.
So today, FATHER, take what is in our hands.
Take our work.
Take our words.
Take our homes.
Take our businesses.
Take our ministries.
Take our creativity.
Take our ordinary moments and our extraordinary assignments.
Teach us how to live dependent upon JESUS—not occasionally, but continually.
Let our lives quietly preach what our mouths declare:
ALL FOR YOU, JESUS.
Not some.
Not just the impressive parts.
Not only the parts other people see.
Whatever we do.
In word.
In deed.
In the extraordinary.
In the ordinary.
ALL FOR YOU, JESUS.
Amen. 🤍
