📖 HOW TO KNOW IF IT'S GOD SPEAKING... OR JUST YOUR OWN THOUGHTS

Have you ever prayed and suddenly felt a strong impression... then immediately wondered:

"Was that God... or was I just thinking?"

That one question has kept countless believers stuck in fear, second-guessing every decision.

Here's the truth: God still speaks. The real challenge isn't whether He's speaking—it's learning to recognize His voice.

Even Samuel heard God's voice several times before he realized it was the Lord calling him (1 Samuel 3). If a prophet had to learn, don't be discouraged if you're still growing.

Here are 7 biblical signs that help you discern God's voice:

1️⃣ God's voice never contradicts Scripture.
If it goes against God's Word, it isn't God's voice—no matter how convincing it sounds.

2️⃣ God's voice brings peace, not pressure.
He may call you to difficult things, but He won't lead you through fear, confusion, or manipulation.

3️⃣ God's voice is often gentle—but persistent.
He doesn't have to shout. He patiently confirms what He's saying until you're ready to obey.

4️⃣ God's voice stretches your faith.
It usually calls you beyond comfort, into deeper trust, obedience, and surrender.

5️⃣ God's voice brings conviction, not condemnation.
The Holy Spirit points you toward repentance and hope. Condemnation only leaves you feeling defeated (Romans 8:1).

6️⃣ God's voice is often confirmed.
Through Scripture, prayer, wise spiritual leaders, or repeated godly confirmation, God establishes His direction.

7️⃣ God's voice draws you closer to Jesus.
If what you've heard makes you hunger for God's presence, His Word, and a holy life, you're moving in the right direction.

✨ The secret isn't chasing a louder voice—it's growing closer to the Shepherd.

The more time you spend in God's Word, the easier it becomes to recognize His voice.
