AAPACT TBT (2013) Nine years ago the African American Performing Arts Community Theatre brought James Baldwin's moving play to life for South Florida audiences. Our was blessed to assemble a talented cast and hardworking crew to produce a wonderful show. “The African American Performing Arts Community Theatre (AAPACT) and artistic director Teddy Harrell Jr. have put together a lively production of the play, enhancing it with the kind of roof-raising gospel music you’d hear in the storefront Harlem church where its main character preaches.” - Christine Dolen, Artsburst Theater Reviewer. “AAPACT’S ambitious undertaking is an earnest and heartfelt production laced with chuckles and tears under director Teddy Harrell Jr.’s leadership.” - Bill Hirshman, Florida Theater on Stage. Toddra Brunson Solomon is a SHOWSTOPPER!!! Wow!!! This amazingly talented, South Florida actress nearly stole the show in Seminole Theater's Hairspray last evening. I am so proud to have directed her twice. Once in AAPACT's The Amen Corner and in the more recent African Heritage Cultural Arts Center's Simply Simone- The Music of Nina Simone. Producers and directors don't sleep on this talented artist. Many successes, beautiful Toddie!!!❤️
