“Beware of What You Say”
Numbers 21:4-9
Bro. Marsh

In Numbers, the children of Israel grew weary and began to complain against God and Moses. As a result, the Lord sent fiery serpents among them, reminding us that our words carry power and consequence. Just like the serpents in the wilderness, our words can bring either pain or healing. Proverbs tells us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” We can’t walk in faith if we’re not speaking and praying in faith, because ultimately, we will eat the fruit of the words we speak.

How to Catch Yourself, Caution Yourself, and Correct Yourself

1. Catch Yourself: The Tongue is Dangerous
Before words leave your mouth, pause. The tongue, as James declares, is “a fire… full of deadly poison.” Once spoken, words can’t be taken back. Learn to catch yourself before they escape your lips. Only the Holy Ghost can help us tame the tongue.

2. Caution Yourself: Guard What You Say
Wisdom begins with restraint. Be slow to speak and quick to listen, because what you say reveals what’s in your heart. The wise person guards their mouth, not out of fear, but out of reverence for God.

3. Correct Yourself: Repent and Speak Life
When you go too far, correct it quickly. Repent, make peace, and begin speaking words of faith. God honors those who yield their words to Him. Speak to your mountain like Jesus said in Mark, not in doubt, but in faith. The more your speech aligns with His Word, the more power your prayers carry.

Be mindful of what you say. Your words can bless or curse, build or destroy, heal or wound. Let the Holy Ghost guide your tongue, because when He controls your speech, He is truly reigning in your heart.

“Rewarded, Watered & Rooted” – Genesis 12:1–9 🌿
This week’s message reminded us that the earth is God’s incubator. The place where He shapes and cultivates us. There’s no ground too hard for Him to reach! When we prepare the soil, He sends the rain.

Like Abraham, we’re called to leave what’s comfortable so God can form something greater in us. Even in dry and barren places, we’re still within the promise. God is using the very ground of our lives to root us, water us, and reward us. There are only certain things God wants for you. (2 Timothy) God makes sacrifices of honor. Lord, don’t let me settle for being Abram when I can be Abraham. 🙌

How did He make an Abraham? God said, “I want you to climb this mountain,” and then Abraham dug a well. How deep are you digging your well? Beersheba, a dry, barren place became a place of provision. Wells represent supply and life. Jesus said, “If any man thirst, let him come unto Me.” In Numbers, God’s people recognized who provided the water. Somebody needs to find the ground and dig again! Abraham planted a tamarisk tree there, at 100 years old. A tree he would never see fully grown. He planted roots. In Abraham’s day it grew down; in Isaac’s day, it grew up. Our planting today is for our future and for our children.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord. Psalm 1:3, Ezekiel 47, 1 Chronicles, Psalm 92, all remind us we are trees of righteousness, planted by Him. If we can trust Him to form the world, we can trust Him to form our lives. 🌱Your future is greater than your past! DIG!

“This Cannot Go With Me” – Philippians 3:12

This week’s message reminded us that if we’re going to move forward, some things and some people simply can’t go with us. Paul said, “Forgetting what’s behind and reaching for what’s ahead.” That means we must let God reveal and remove the things that weigh us down so we can step fully into where He’s calling us to be.

You can be anointed and still have a past, but you don’t have to live in it. Paul refused to let his history define his destiny. Whenever God prepares you for something new, He always starts by cleaning house.

Three things can’t go with us:

1. Sin: Leave your sin where the blood left it. Don’t carry what Christ already covered.
2. The Past: Forgetting doesn’t mean it didn’t happen; it means it no longer has authority. Your past may explain you, but it cannot define you. Don’t go back to what God delivered you from.
3. Resentment: Anger that’s learned to live indoors will poison your spirit. Forgive, release, and move on.

And remember, sometimes it’s not just habits or hurts, but people who can’t go with you. Not everyone is meant to walk with you into your next season. When God calls you higher, He separates you to strengthen you.

Samson’s story shows that even when you’ve lost strength, vision, or direction, grace still finds you. Like Samson, put your hands on the pillars of your prison and push. The old you has to die daily. “I am crucified with Christ…” (Galatians 2:20).

Jesus didn’t die so your trauma could have the final word.
It is finished, leave behind what and who cannot go with you.
