At my kids school today, they didn’t celebrate Valentines day but they celebrated God’s love day. My husband and I haven’t really been super valentine celebraters (is that a word). But as I was thinking about their schools theme today…I thought it was fully appropriate to spend a day celebrating God’s love.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Us as christians have the joy and privilege today to be able to celebrate having eternal life and a God who loves us.
So no matter what your situation is today, married, single, widowed, divorced and all the other seasons you may find yourself in, remember God loves you, he is for YOU and we get to celebrate His love today.

Something you may not know about me? I enjoy swimming laps. I am not an expert or super fast 🤪 this morning I made it back to swimming after 2 months off. When I started swimming I was the only one there. By the time I got out, there were 3 other swimmers with me including one sharing my lane.
These other swimmers had all their gear and had all the swim strokes perfected and were super fast.
After 2 of them joined I found myself wanting to catch up with them. I was in the middle and had them on either side. So I started speeding up and swimming better. But after a while I slowed down to my regular speed. I assure you neither even noticed. 🤣
It made me think of what Brenda shared on Friday. So often we might be the “expert” Christian and there might be someone next to us trying to be like us or do more like us and we don’t even notice. All it might take is an encouraging word or thought to revive them and they keep going vs going back to their usual speed.
So as we continue striving to be like Jesus, lets continue to bring as many people with us as we can 👋🏻
