We had such a great time at Kid City Crafternoon today! 🎨 Even with a smaller group, it turned into a really sweet afternoon full of creativity, laughs, and quality time together. Sometimes those quieter moments make it even more special 💛

A huge thank you to Michelle for leading such a fun and creative afternoon—we’re so grateful for you!

We’re curious—would you love to see Kid City Crafternoon come back later this year, maybe during the winter, with a brand new craft? ❄️✨

Wow—what an incredible response to our Kid City FCOC Donation Contest! 💛

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously—because of you, we collected a total of 144 donations! That’s amazing!

A big shoutout to Club 56 for taking the win with 78 donations—what an awesome effort! 🎉 As a well-earned reward, Club 56 will be celebrating with a doughnut party on May 3 at 10:30am—we can’t wait to celebrate with you! 🍩

And to make it even more exciting, Ms. Brittany is matching our total number of donations, doubling the impact of your generosity!

We are so grateful for our Kid City families and the heart you continue to show for others. You made a difference!

‼️ Semi-serious post alert ‼️

Let this be a loving reminder to slow down this season. I know—it’s hard. Believe me, I get it. I’ve got 5 kids, 2 jobs, a never-ending task list, and a compulsive need to be productive. I’m at work today, fresh off a pretty solid panic attack, and I found myself thinking, “Man. I know there’s more to this season than busyness and frantic activity, but I struggle so badly to just…rest.”

Maybe you’re great at relaxing. Maybe saying “no” comes easily for you this time of year. But maybe you’re more like me.

You feel behind. You’re struggling to keep up. Your mental to-do list is a mile long—far too long for any reasonable human to accomplish in a single day. You wake up to it already waiting for you, and you go to bed feeling like just as much is still undone. And maybe even reading this is making you a little anxious.

So let me be one voice cutting through the noise with this reminder: no matter what you get done today (or don’t), no matter what you cross off your list, and no matter how you feel—you are a beloved creation of God. Your productivity does not determine your worth, and the number of gifts you buy does not measure your value.
