The Vachy R Story Foundation is still functioning in a support role to other ministries. The House of Victory closed its doors as much needed structural repairs were needed and other related issues. It is however now a men's ministry of Pastor Rick Lehr and is currently housing 4 awesome men.

Morning Friends☕️🎚📖..

2 Corinthians 4:17-18
"For the lightness of our present affliction works out for us a far more excellent eternal weight of glory, we not considering the things which are seen, but the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are not lasting, but the things which are not seen are everlasting."

In his book "Mere Christianity" C.S. Lewis offered a thoughtful perspective on remaining heavenly minded while continuing to make an impact in this present world. He said "Hope…means…a continual looking forward to the eternal world…it does not mean that we are to leave the present world as it is. If you read history you will find that the Christians who did most for the present world were just those who thought most of the next…It is since Christians have largely ceased to think of the other world that they have become so ineffective in this. Aim at Heaven and you will get earth 'thrown in': aim at earth and you will get neither."
God has called us to change the world in which we live and to do so our focus has to be different.
Being heavenly minded is not natural. It happens when we focus and meditate on the reality and wonderful hope of the world to come. When we do, we can bring a taste of heaven to the little world around us. So let's not become complacent.....but stay focused there, so we can be effective here… and soon enough we will hear the Lord saying, "Well, done thou good and faithful servant!"

We at The House of Victory in Floyd, would like to thank all of our supporters, near and far, who have helped make 2020 a successful year in this ministry.

Over 25 women came through the program and a large percentage of those have been reunited with family, have secured housing and have gone back to work. More importantly is the fact that they sought after and either committed or recommitted to their relationship with the Lord Jesus. Of course there were some who relapsed and went a different direction, unfortunately this does happen sometimes and we continue to lift them up in our prayers.

Melinda and I, throughout December, have been battling with Covid-19. Our last resident, who left in December, also had Covid and quarantined at HOV until she was ready to go back to her job.

During the last heavy rain we had in late December, our septic system failed and we were forced to shut the water off and close the house to any new residents.

We now have this serious septic system issue to work on, along with completely sanitizing the entire house, before we can in-take any new residents.

Decorated Generals in the army of God, some in the forefront and some in the shadows. Men and women of God who have been places we have never been and experienced things in God we have yet to experience, who have fought battles and won, who have stood with Christ and His Body through thick and thin, who have wisdom beyond this world. They are an inspiration to us. Oh the treasures we can gain through fellowship with them. We need to honor them, listen, and learn and grow in Christ and in ministry. PTC
