1865- (250) Union Soldiers died in Charleston S.C. All Buried in one Grave
28 Black Freed Men dug up the grave buried them individually put a fence around it ‘ Martyrs of the Race’ Honoring them. 🫡 10k People visited the site🙌🏽 This was 3 years before Government declared Memorial Day a national holiday 🙏🏽cp
