You may not always feel chosen — especially in the valleys. Some days your identity feels shaken, hidden, or buried under addiction, shame, or the weight of life. But before you were even a thought, God already knew this day, this moment, this season. He knew you would be right here, and He called you His anyway.
You are God’s chosen.
You are His royal child.
You are His possession.
Even when you don’t feel it, your identity was never stolen. It may have been covered, forgotten, or pushed aside — but it was never lost. God’s Word says your identity is given, not earned; declared, not voted on; secured, not fragile.
We all fall into darkness. We all have seasons where we hide, run, numb, or forget who we are. But God never leaves us there. He is always the wonderful light that pulls us out, restores us, and reminds us:
“Once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”
People may not have shown you mercy.
Life may not have shown you mercy.
But God did — and still does.
So no matter what you feel like today, remember:
You are a holy priest.
You are a holy possession.
You are God’s son, God’s daughter.
You are chosen to show others the goodness of God, because your life is proof of His mercy.
Walk today knowing who you are — and let your story shine for someone still in the dark.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for choosing me even when I didn’t choose myself. Thank You for calling me out of darkness and into Your wonderful light. Remind me today who I am — Your royal child, Your possession, Your priest. Break every lie that tries to steal my identity. Let Your wonderful light flood every dark place in me. And let my life become a testimony that sparks revival in others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
