God is doing great things in the Tampa Bay Area! Yesterday's event was so powerful, and we will be carrying that spirit forward to next week's retreat and the year ahead.

It is with some sadness and also excitement for the future that I tell you all that I will be stepping down as Chair from the committee at the end of the month. My time in this role has deepened my faith, brought me many new friends, and let me share my love for Scouting as a Catholic youth ministry.

When I took the role, I had several things I hoped to achieve and I feel together we have made great strides in those areas. But I always felt four years would be a good limit for me, and that it would then be time for fresh leadership.

Bishop Parkes has appointed Alex Sobtzak as our new Chair, and I ask you to welcome him to the role and give him the same support and guidance you have all given to me the past four years.

I have told Alex that I am not stepping away entirely from the committee and will continue to help with projects and whatever support I can offer.

Welcome, Alex!
