When the New Testament church began, the message preached was this:
“Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”
Men and women today are still asking the same question. What does it really take to make it to heaven? How do I know if I’m right? What do I have to do to be saved? Well…if the question hasn’t changed then neither has the answer even though traditions of men, customs and cultural practices have created thousands of other messages. The Bible is still the Word of God regardless of what we think.
