Arise at George Mason

Arise is a Christian ministry at GMU in Fairfax, VA. Everyone is welcome! Arise is a ministry of United College Ministries in Northern Virginia.

Arise is a campus ministry designed to encourage students to explore faith and discover grace through worship, mission projects, social events and small groups. We are rooted in the tradition of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Episcopal, Presbyterian (USA), United Church of Christ, United Methodist and interested individuals of many traditions. Join us as we ask questions about faith, connect with others, and find ways to live out of God's unconditional love.

Be sure to join us for our Monday Night Bible study at 6:30pm in JC room 243 each week! We will share a meal as we explore the Bible together.

Join Arise Campus Ministry next Monday on August 31st st 7:00pm in JC George’s for our annual Trivia Night! You can come in a group, or solo and we can pair you up. We will provide dinner and the winning team will receive one visa gift card per teammate, with a maximum of 6 gift cards total. DM us with any questions or concerns!

Join us this Sunday at exactly 12:15ish PM in the Spiritual and Interfaith Center for the kick of of The Table this semester! We will have contemporary worship service where all are welcome followed by a shared meal. This week on the menu is beef breakfast burritos and hash browns, with a vegetarian offering for those who need it. We can’t wait to see you there!

Our Wednesday Night LGBTQIA+ Bible study group will be meeting in the Spiritual and Interfaith Center meeting room upstairs from 7:30pm to 8:30pm starting on August 26th. Come for food, fellowship, and a shared meal.

Over the summer break we are taking the time to introduce our staff! Kyle is our worship leader! He is dedicated to creating a warm welcoming environment for the students to come worship. Fun fact, Kyle can best Super Mario World in 13 minutes!
