This is such an awesome way to show someone you CARE about them and are willing to invest time into making their day just a little bit better! A woman who is new to faith was having a hard time connecting with God and community during the covid crisis. Her friend reached out to a group of ladies to share a daily devotional. The woman had never read a daily devotional before, and the messages that got sent daily were very encouraging to her because of some struggles she has been going through. Because of this, she has started reading her Bible more and connecting with God, and is now a part of a community of women who she can grow with.

Daring to care looks like seeing the spiritual needs of others and helping them know they are seen and loved by Jesus no matter what they are going through.

A local man drove past a man experiencing homelessness and noticed that he was only wearing socks, no shoes. He knew he could help, so he found a thrift store close by and bought him some shoes. He circled back around hoping to relocate the man, and saw him not far from where he had been originally. He pulled over and offered the shoes to the man, who was dumbfounded, but accepted them. The man walked off in his new shoes with a more confirmable and confident gait.

This man dared to care for another individual and went out of his way to restore confidence to a complete stranger.

A group of High School students helped serve local families in need by volunteering at New Life Church’s food program in the month of August. They spent several hours packing food that was going to be delivered to approximately 60 families the next day.

It’s amazing to see young people giving their time to intentionally care for people in their community. When we come together and meet the needs of others, we can make a huge difference!
