Soup Joumou 🇭🇹🍲 Right after service
Little history lesson Soup Joumou is a traditional Haitian squash soup made with pumpkin (calabaza), vegetables, pasta, and meat. It is deeply symbolic of freedom and independence, traditionally eaten on January 1st to celebrate Haiti’s independence from slavery in 1804.
