Friends and supporters,
It’s been too long since our last update—because there is just too much great news to share for one update!
In the midst of Covid it has actually been the best spring semester I can remember in campus ministry! Maybe the best update is just highlights with more details shared throughout the summer as life slows down.
In the fall two of our student leaders on the tennis team led one of their teammates to faith in Jesus! The last six months have been life changing for this new believer. As we’ve met weekly this semester, he has shared his plan to share his new faith back home in Great Britain over the summer. Pray that his new faith grows and that his friends and family are receptive to the gospel.
We have two awesome young women graduating this semester and coming on staff for next year! Genevieve and Kelsey are dynamic leaders who are an answer to recent years of prayer. They will be raising financial support and if you’ve ever considered giving towards reaching the college campus, I would love to connect you with one of these ladies.
Numbers are up! Numbers don’t measure everything in ministry, but they are important. We have had 50 students at our weekly meeting all spring without any drop off as finals pressed on student schedules. We also have over a dozen student leaders committed to serve next fall.
So many small encouraging things have happened this year that I can’t fit them into this newsletter, but It has been one of the most encouraging years that I can remember. Thank you for your prayers and financial support! If you want to hear more please let’s make time to connect over email, phone, or in person.
A note about the attached photos:
Our last large group meeting we focused on sending out our seniors and students serving at Christian camps, VBS, and mission trips. The underclassmen sang a song of blessing over the seniors in this photo.
A highlight of the year was getting to baptize three of our student leaders this year!
Finishing off the semester we were in Nashville for training and encouragement. Our incoming staff ladies, some of our church college group volunteers and these three upperclassmen guys I’m mentoring made the trip. It was great fun and we came home on fire to reach students in the fall!
