When we needed to try a new ministry over spring break this year, our staff did an awesome job setting up a great opportunity for our students.

This fall we were able to welcome more students to our large group meeting than ever before, we took 56 students to fall conference, restarted our freshmen ministry, trained our leaders more effectively, shared the gospel again and again, and we will send another summer mission team to South Asia this summer! We are so grateful what God is doing, for the prayers, and donations from our support team. Thank you for your prayers and support--we had over 80 students at our first large group meeting this week!
Please be praying for us as we start connecting these new students to our student leaders in one-on-one gospel meet ups.

It is the first day of the 2021 school year at ESU and it is already off to a great start!
There is a temptation in ministry to always send out optimistic updates even when the mission is difficult--at times like this the temptation is to downplay all of the great stuff that is happening because it seems too good to be true! I keep thinking 'somebody pinch me, this can't all be happening!'
I have a great team of enthusiastic leaders, two new gifted staff interns, and great momentum going into the first week of classes.

Here are a few highlights:
Leaders: We have 14 leaders who are enthusiastic about sharing their faith and leading Bible studies this fall.
Staff: Our two new staff ladies are gifted, passionate and making an impact. If you are interested in making a special financial contribution to their support let me know.
Events: The night new students moved into the dorms we had an impromptu worship night outside on campus. One of our new interns shared the gospel in a compelling and winsome way. Most students came after receiving a text invite, but one new freshman walked up saying 'I never walk by this way but I heard you singing and I had to come check this out'. It seems like the Lord is brining students "to come check this out" at every turn!

I haven't been able to keep up with all of the friends, alumni, and church support we have received over the last year--if you have been supporting us, praying for us, or just thinking about us THANK YOU! We are so excited to see how this fall semester unfolds.
