In our house in Gbarnga Liberia, we live “in the bush,” far from city amenities.

For our power, we have a solar system.
For our water, we have a pump well, down a small path. Originally, to get water to our home, you pumped water into buckets, carried up the path, and into larger barrels in our home.
Last year, Scott worked on plumbing from the pump, to our back porch, where then water would fill up a large barrel by the push of a button.

Last month, he finished the plumbing into the house, just before he had to travel back to the States. Then another missionary friend came into finish the final fittings. After a few hiccups… we now have running water!!! It’s not a small thing! Most people here don’t have running water, just local community wells. This is a gift!

We have had some wonderful visits with our older kids and family, and had an amazing cruise vacation experience with Josiah.
Last year we were gifted some funds, and asked Josiah how he wanted to use the money, and he chose a cruise. It was definitely different cruising with some limitations, but the cruise ship we chose ended up being very handicap accessible , including our room. We’d love to do it again if we could, but Joe wants a friend along next time.😊

What a sweet blessing to see this tiny boy starting to gain weight and look healthy!
I’m so proud of all my moms and team in His Safe Haven that love and serve our children well ❤️.
I can’t put into words how much I love what I do here and how much I love my people here. Thank you God for this beautiful blessing!

Praise the Lord for our His Safe Haven Outreach!
The before picture was a Mom struggling to care for and love her child, because of his special needs.

After a hospital stay, a lot of loving conversations, close monitoring and consistently attending our outreach, Mom and baby are both doing well!
