Dr. Cecilin Chisholm, age 89, of Silver Spring, Maryland, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. Known as Dr. Chisholm to some and Aunt Cecilin to many, she lived a life marked by love, faith, and generosity. She was well known for her selfless service to others and the deep care she showed for her family.

A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Third Street Church of God, 1204 3rd Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. Family and friends are warmly invited to join in honoring the life of this beloved servant of God.

Join us as we explore how our churches can come together to better support caregivers, pastors, and members across the district. This meeting will be a safe, collaborative space to share experiences, identify challenges, and build stronger systems of care within our congregations.

Together, we’ll discuss practical steps churches can take to:

✨ Make caregiving more visible and valued in church life.
✨ Support pastors who are caregivers or who shepherd caregivers.
✨ Develop joint initiatives that reduce isolation, strengthen resilience, and provide meaningful resources to caregivers.
