Scripture says, "Seek first the Kingdom and His righteousness." That means God’s way of doing things. His Kingdom, in one sense, is the opposite of what we naturally think. He said, “Bless your enemies. Be good to those who do you wrong. Forgive those who hurt you.” Seek first the Kingdom. If you want God to add things to your life, you have to do it His way.

Daily Prayer for May 9;

The sun will no more be your light by day, nor will the brightness of the moon shine on you, for the Lord will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Isaiah 60:19

Six times in the Gospels, Jesus said, “He that has ears, let him hear what the Spirit is saying.” Are you sensitive to the whisper? Are you paying attention to what you’re feeling in your spirit? It’s easy to ignore it, push it down, don’t give it the time of day. But if you’ll start obeying the promptings, the suggestions, the gentle whispers, God will lead you down the best path for your life.

Daily Prayer for May 6;

I heard a loud voice proclaiming from the throne: “Now at last God has his dwelling among men! He will dwell among them and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes; there shall be an end to death, and to mourning and crying and pain; for the old order has passed away!” Revelation 21:3–4

We can look back over our lives and see things that don’t seem fair. We don’t understand. God would not have allowed it if it was not going to deposit something in you to get you prepared for where He is taking you.

There are seasons of waiting, times when we’re not seeing any progress. We have to endure and do the right thing when nothing is changing. Pass those tests. But remember, as God carries you, you’re also going to come into these moments of favor where He catapults you ahead.

Daily Prayer for May 3;

But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps. 1 Peter 2:20-21

You can’t calculate His goodness. You can’t quantify His blessings, His favor, His increase. There are things He’s already planned for you that are out of the ordinary, uncommon. That’s why He said, “Lean not to your own understanding.”

Don’t get talked out of who you know you are. Don’t let how long it’s taking, what you didn’t get, who left you out, convince you to lower your standard, give up on your dream. God’s favor is on your life. He’s called you for such a time as this.
