We enjoyed our time at both of the back to school events yesterday and today.

Thank you to Della Wheeler, with Bowman Youth on the Move, and Marquitta Rucker, with the SWAT Foundation, for inviting us to participate in their events.

Our next back to school event is August 8th from 11:00-2:00 at MedLink Colbert.

We know it takes the typical school items to be successful in school, but it also take you feeling your best! We are here to help you make that possible with basic hygiene necessities! As always, everything is free!

Hey! Guess what?!? AJ Hill, BFG’s founder, is preaching Eliam UMC! She will be filling in the pulpit on interim basis until September. Service begins at 10:30. Eliam is located at 2130 Dr. George Ward Rd. We would love for you to come join us for worship!

Big things are coming to BFG. One of our board members, Allyson, attended a training for the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia this spring. Yesterday, we passed the inspection to start hosting food events. We are looking forward to adding this resource to our trailer! We will have a training for our members at one of our monthly meetings.

Our friends at Life in Recovery and Mother to Mother have postponed the Georgia Council for Recovery's Compassionate Conversations scheduled for tonight. We will let you know when it is rescheduled so we can learn how to make our communities stronger and healthier.

Life in Recovery and Mother to Mother Recovery Center are wonderful partners we've worked with for several years now. 🩷 Life in Recovery has partnered with the Georgia Council for Recovery to host a Compassionate Conversations and Community Listening Session next Tuesday, June 30th.

If you are able, we would love for you to support our partners and sit at the table with them to listen and share stories.

Our friends at Life in Recovery are partnering with Georgia Council for Recovery to host a Compassionate Conversations and Community Listening Session next Tuesday, June 30th at the Elberton Civic Center.

This event is FREE and is open to anyone wanting to strengthen the recovery community in Elbert County. You will learn about safe, open, compassionate communication, parts of the recovery process, including medical assisted treatments, and make connections with other organizations.

‼️This weekend BFG will be in 2 locations.‼️
The trailer with hygiene bags will be at the Bowman Community Center from 11-1.

We will also have a table set up at the Pulliam-Burton VFW - Post 5456 Elberton, GA and Elks Lodge Wellness for All Health Fair from 10:00-3:00.

Come say hi 👋 at one or both locations on Saturday!
