BREAKING NEWS | INTERIM SUNDAY WORSHIP INFO
Brothers & Sisters,
As a Stake Presidency, we have counseled together with local leaders and our local Facilities Manager regarding the current conditions in the Beaumont building. Additional details of the extent and duration of the remediation became clearer this week when consulting with the Facilities Manager. Plans are currently in place to remove and replace all ceiling tiles in the Cultural Hall and perform remediation under the direction of certified professionals. Large portions of the building will be impacted to enable quality repairs to be completed while maintaining proper containment. Repairs are expected to take multiple months.
After reviewing the scope and duration of the required repairs and understanding the impact to our members in the building, out of an abundance of caution, we have made the prayerful decision to close the Beaumont building until remediation is complete. We will be monitoring the progress and will resume meetings in the building as soon as it is confirmed to be safe for use.
Below is the adjusted Sunday meeting schedule for the Beaumont units:
Bmt 1 | Port Arthur Chapel at 11:30 am, beginning with 2nd hour meetings
Bmt 6 | Silsbee Chapel at 10:30 am, beginning with Sacrament meeting
Bmt 4 | Ashworth Home at 5 pm
Local leaders will communicate adjustment details for youth activities.
We realize this is a sacrifice for our members, but know that “sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven” (Praise to the Man, Hymn 27) for those who are able to make them. We will provide additional updates as they become available. We love you and pray for you.
With Love,
Beaumont Stake Presidency
