Federated Church of Martha's Vineyard A welcoming and affirming community, serving God and neighbor, located in the heart of historic Edgartown, MA.

Federated Church is a diverse Christian community, with roots on our Congregational side, going back to 1642, and the American Baptists, going back to 1823. (So we don't have doctrinal requirements, and we don't necessarily agree on everything.) Our current membership is a mix of UCCers, Presbyterians, Baptists, and many others. We enjoy traditional worship with great music and friendly people, fo

r however long your visit to the Island might be. Whoever you are, whomever you love, wherever you are on your faith journey, you are welcome at the Federated Church!

Our hearts go out to all affected by this morning's fire on Chappy. Thankfully, no one appears to have been hurt. We are so grateful for the Chappy Ferry, the Edgartown Fire Department, and their Island colleagues. Fighting a fire on an island off of another island requires some complicated organization, and as bad as this was, it could've been far worse. Well done, EFD.
