Onondaga Art Guild - New

Onondaga Art Guild - New The OAG is a group of artists who have joined together to further their skills, to promote their artwork and to promote interest in art in our community.

Mission
"The purpose of OAG shall be to promote artistic skills and interest in the fine arts through education and practice"

OAG members meet the first Tuesday of each month at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 400 W. Yates St., East Syracuse, NY, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, from September to May. In December OAG meets to socialize and in June we hold our annual picnic. Every month, OAG offers a presentat

ion by a notable artist, who offers a demonstration or brings insight from an artistic perspective (with the exception of December and June). OAG holds two annual exhibits: one juried show and the Spring Art and Sale Show. All members in good standing are eligible to participate. Every year, OAG grants a scholarship to one or two senior HS students who have been admitted into an art program in higher education and who have graduated from the Syracuse School District. Annual membership is $25

Is order to become a new member, interested artists or art supporters attend 3 meetings, then upon the third, membership is paid and we welcome them into the guild. Please note: OAG meetings are cancelled if Syracuse School District has cancelled classes due to weather conditions. OAG President: Libby Hughes
