True Christian courage isn’t about pretending we’re brave enough to step out into life’s storms on our own strength. It’s recognizing that fear is real—and then trusting the One who stands in the storm with us.

Sunday’s worship theme centers around Scripture lessons that remind us that the believer answers doubt with faith in the LORD. Some have noted that doubt is the companion of faith. Wherever faith clings to the promises of God, doubt is right there lingering in the back of our mind whispering: “Did God really say?” In each case of doubt vs. faith, the true answer to doubt is not primarily found in some great miracle that removes the adversity, rather it is the still small voice of our Savior promising “Be still and know that I Am God,” your God.
