Friendship Outreach visited Sky Top Apple Orchard today. It was a beautiful day to spend in the mountains. We enjoyed a hayride (minus the hay) through the orchard.The apple cannons were a test of accuracy as apples were blasted out of a cannon, across a pond toward apple targets. We had a picnic lunch with delicious apple c***r and apple cinnamon doughnuts. After lunch we “picked” apples- out of wooden bins. Another fantastic trip with great friends!

Friendship Outreach had the first meeting of the new year. Linda Garvin led our devotion. Marsha Robertson told us about Meals on Wheels and then led us in a couple of fun games. They were followed by a delicious meal. It is always a great time to fellowship with these friends!!

Friendship Outreach had a very enjoyable outing today. We had lunch at Cornucopia in Cashiers followed by some time to shop and people watch in Highlands. The weather was great! It was such a great time to be with friends!

Friendship Outreach enjoyed a fun outing to Lake Jocassee. Betty Roe gave the devotion and then everyone enjoyed a picnic lunch. After lunch, we boarded two pontoons for a tour of the lake and its beautiful waterfalls.

We had a wonderful time at our Friendship Outreach lunch on Tuesday, April 21! Our guest speaker, Chuck Alberding from The Wildlife Geeks, brought a variety of animals for us to see, pet, hold, and learn about—some definitely more cuddly than others! 🐾

Tina Corn also shared a meaningful devotional that encouraged and uplifted everyone in attendance. It was a great day of fellowship, learning, and fun together!

Today Friendship Outreach visited Split Creek Goat Farm in Anderson. It was a delightful morning learning about the different breeds of dairy goats. It was a perfect time to be there because there were many many new babies. Split Creek has won many awards for their feta cheese. This was a very informative,as well as fun, outing.

Dennis and Lynn Gensler shared their time with the Salvation Army at Friendship Outreach today. They shared pictures and special treasures from their years there. It was amazing to hear all they had experienced. We enjoyed a delicious meal and fellowship. Tomorrow a few men will take the canned good that have been collected as part of Go Week to United Christian Ministries.

Betty Roe led the devotion at Friendship Outreach today followed by Dr. Adams giving an update on prayer needs. Our speaker was Seth Buckley. He sang two beautiful hymns and told us about the Fire Pit Ranch - a nonprofit, faith based organization dedicated to mentoring young boys in grades 5-12. We enjoyed a delicious meal of BBQ and excellent fellowship.

Friendship Outreach had our first meeting of the year. Jim Sevic led our devotion. Two fitness directors from the YMCA shared some exercises we can do at home. Some of us balance better than others! We then enjoyed a delicious meal of chili, cornbread and cole slaw made by Lisa Pearman. Rick Roe provided delicious desserts. Come join us in February as we go to a movie and enjoy lunch out.

Friendship Outreach had our December get together on Tuesday Jordan Simon led us in our devotion. We enjoyed a hot chocolate bar as well as delicious hors d’oeuvres. We played name that tune with Christmas carols. Three lucky people were winners of door prizes. It was a fun way to end 2025 with this special group of people.
