I’m excited to announce a new Pastors, Wives, Staff, Spouses event which we are launching on October 6th. Refresh Tuesdays will be a time to come together and hang out with our fellow servants in ministry to be REFRESHED AND ENCOURAGED.

Brother Anthony is going to schedule programs that will be include equipping, encouraging, engaging, and a little time sharing how God is moving in your lives and how we can minister to one another.

The word refresh simply means to restore, renew, revive, freshen up. We all need that because ministry is tough so mark your calendars, tell your wives that dinner is taken care of and join us on October 6th as we kick this exciting new ministry to our leaders off in our Association.

FYI, this is going to be an ongoing ministry. One month will be in the evenings because we definitely don’t want our bi-vocational pastors/staff to be left out and the next will be at lunch as we realize some of our full-time leaders have young families and we want to honor their time with their families as well. The programs will still be available to everyone. Brother Anthony is planning to share more on October 6th.

This is a solid article and has scripture to back it up. Churches, we are now less than a month away from October, which is Pastor Appreciation Month.

Your Pastor in your mind might have 1 job but realistically they have multiple jobs. For our bi-vocational pastors they have their “other” job as some say and still handle every responsibility of a pastor. That’s why I call bi-vocational pastors my heroes.

I want to encourage every church member to be praying for their pastor. Are they always going to do what you like/want? No and honestly you shouldn’t want them to because if they do chances are they aren’t following the Holy Spirit. I also want you to be praying right now about ways you can support and encourage your pastor, not just in October but every day of the year.

They ready do carry a lot of weight and have way more than just 1 job.
