shipful: knowing Jesus
Worship begins with knowing Jesus - being reconciled to God in Christ - humbly realizing that it is all about God rather than me. Once we rightly see God and rightly see me - then we worship. (Gospel, Rom 3:21-28)
Relational: following Jesus
True relationship begins with an understanding of Jesus’ demands upon our lives with others. There IS a way Jesus calls us to live and it leads to heart change, not just relational techniques. So we seek to relate to one another according to Jesus. (Loving, Mt 5-7)
Missional: being Jesus
As followers of Jesus we are called to BE Jesus to the unchurched world. Our best evangelistic technique is to lean into worship and relationship (above)...that is to live with God and the center and Jesus as our example. As we become more honest with our own wrongful tendencies and continue to have our heart changed, the world will notice - the world across the sea AND across the street. (Going, Matt 28:18-20)
