Cleanup continues. All hands on deck tomorrow starting at 10 am until evening again and in place of Wednesday night service we’re asking for members to come and help clean. Even if you’re not physically able to run shop vacs etc, there are other ways to help such as just wiping the walls, helping with food etc. Even an hour or two helps.

Volunteers will be fed dinner at 5:00 pm. Snacks and drinks available throughout the day.

Update: Thank you to anyone who helped today. The “carpeted” rooms have had rug doctors ran on them and shampooing planned tomorrow as saving the new carpet was the first priority. After that the remaining rooms will need sorted. Work begins again tomorrow around 10:00 am if anyone can come.

🙏 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Per Pastor Pitsenbarger, the floodwaters reached approximately 4 feet or more against the side of the church building. Thankfully, only about 4 inches at the deepest made it into the basement. However, there is now mud and water throughout every room of the church basement, and we need help getting it cleaned up.

Cleanup begins at 10:00 AM tomorrow, August 17th, throughout the evening.
We currently only have about four volunteers able to come, many others have work responsibilities. If you are able to help in any way, please come! Every extra set of hands will make a difference.
Please bring anything you have that may help, including:
Gloves
Rubber boots
Floor squeegees
Shop-Vacs
Mops, buckets, and cleaning supplies
Anything else that may help remove water and mud from the floors
We are also accepting food donations to help feed the volunteers working tomorrow.

*Update: From information we’re receiving the church received several inches of water in the basement. That’s not great but it could’ve been much worse. God is still good! The waters are receding thanks to your prayers.

🚨There is another line of rain heading to the same effected area from today. Continued prayers please! 🙏 If God can calm the sea he can dissipate a storm. ✝️

Please join us in prayer for our church, that the water does not come into our church building. We also ask that you pray for protection for everyone in our community of Cabin Creek who has been affected.

*Please specifically pray that this water recedes as quickly and safely as possible and it doesn’t rain again tonight. Many people have messaged us photos and videos of it up to their doors, some in their homes. The photo displayed here don’t show it all. Thank you to those already praying.

They are people created in the image of God and people Jesus died for. They just need to find their way home.

The Bible says:

We challenge that at least for one day try to see the soul, not the sinner.

Please note that there will be no services at our church location. Instead, we invite our church family, friends, neighbors, and guests to gather with us for a time of Christian fellowship.

🎶The Riverside High School Band will be hosting an indoor hot dog and yard sale this Saturday at our church property, and we invite the community to attend and support these exceptional students.💜

🌟Proceeds will benefit their upcoming three-week band camp prior to the start of school.

Additionally, some band members will be collecting donations in the Quincy area.
