The Sunday night that we “close out” VBS…..when the worship service has ended, fellowship has been had, and the fireworks are finished, we close up the church one last time as VBS. This building has held some exciting and special times over the last 7 days. Constant sound has field its hallways, but tonight, as we stand here ready to turn off the stage lights one last time, it’s quiet. It’s quiet, yet full of peace. This building is not our church, our people are the church, but these halls and this sanctuary are so special. It’s the church I grew up in, the church that changed my life, the church I was Baptized in and the church that I now get to worship and serve in. The VBS committee is so grateful for each of you and so blessed that we got to spend the week with you and your children. Our bodies are tired, but our souls are revived.
Until next year…..VBS 2025 is signing out. See ya around 😉

VBS Family night…..the night where we enjoying spending time with each other so much that we forget our phones and rarely get pictures. We had the best time!

Tonight we got the honor to actually present our mission project to the ministry! This year we focused our attention on Time Youth Dothan and the ministry that they have here in our community. What a blessing they are. Shaun, one of the Time Youth Dothan leaders, was able to join us for worship rally and shared a little about what they get to do In our community. Oh how grateful we are to get to share with them and help them do what they do best!

These “Kids”, they stepped up to the plate this week to serve as teachers for 2 of our VBS classes. Taten and Ella Grace, with the help of their buddies, taught our 4&5yr olds and 3rd grade classes this week and did a phenomenal job. It was just a few short years ago that they were running around being “our kids” at VBS.

This is a direct example of how VBS can impact our children’s lives. We also had a few of our other youth helping in classes and rotations. Proud of them is a tremendous understatement.

Our babies grow up fast, so every chance to share Jesus with them and get them involved in church is important!

Day 5, God is faithful to keep His promises!

Today was special. Today we learned that God keeps His promises to always take care of us, no matter what we are facing. We learned that God doesn’t want us to worry because He’s got it! Some of these children are walking promises from God to their parents and THAT alone demonstrates His love for us. Thank you Father for the gift of children and the joy that they bring to our lives!

Our little bubble bees buzzed around all night celebrating our last official night together. What a precious week it’s been.

Day 4…… Jesus forgives me, and you. What a precious gift we have…..forgiveness. Tonight we learned how God loves us and forgives our sinfilled selves if we ask Him to, and as a part of our confession of that sin, He offers us salvation.
8 children have given their lives to Christ this week and we are so excited for them. A life full of Christ is ahead for them, and for that, we are so grateful.

Day 3, a WONDERFUL day to learn that God loves every piece of us, but that he does have expectations of us because he is a perfect Father. A rainy afternoon turned into a perfect evening with a beautiful sunset over our church. A night well spent with each other!

Night 2!!! What a night! 204 tonight and we had the best time. Today we learned about how God cares for our every need and boy do we need that reminder every single day.
