FCOG Volleyball:

Considering doing a short league this year. Schedule would be from January 21st through February 25th (6 weeks). How many would be interested in playing? Also both of my referees graduated and moved away. I would need two full time refs or we would need to assign refs like we did in softball.

FCOG Fall Softball: The season will start September 16th! Rules will be the same as last year. Rosters must be approved by the Pastor of the church you are representing. Ethan King and 1st Baptist will be helping with the league as well as Rob and Calista Cates as I may be out of town several Friday nights. If at all possible I would like to hire two full time umpires instead of the teams umpiring. Entry is $125 a team.

FCOG VOLLEYBALL NEWS: There is only one A League (spiking) team spot open and one C League (kids) team spot open and that's it. If you have a team for those spots I need to know ASAP so I can get the schedules made.

League starts January 23rd and will be played on Saturday nights.

Softball News Update: So far we have Doniphan FCOG, Oak Grove FCOG, 1st Baptist, New Hope, His Place, West Point, and possibly Logan Creek. We only have room for 8 teams at a max. If you have a team to put in let me know. If anyone knows of some people that would like to be hired as umpires please have them message me. I will be doing schedules as soon as the teams are finalized

Church Softball News! For those around Doniphan that are interested in a Fall coed league we have one starting. Plan on starting September 18th. We will play Friday nights, rosters MUST be signed by the pastor of the church (combine churches if necessary), this is a FUN coed league!! If your church wants to put a team in please let me know ASAP so I can get the schedules done. Also I would like to hirer some umpires. We will play ASA rules for bats and balls. This is a FUN coed league.

I've been asked a few times about possibly running a Fall Church softball league here in Doniphan at our church park. If we do set up a league what night (or day) would work best for everyone? Also I would prefer a co-ed league so more churches could be involved. How many of you do you think your church would put in a team? Should it be opened to non-church teams? This league would probably be September-October. Just an idea.

Just a reminder as people are looking for fields to practice on....those that have contacted the church office and reserved the ball fields get to use them first. Please clean up any trash and obey the field rules. Also, and very importantly, the fields are NOT to be used during church service hours. That includes all services on Sunday and Wednesday night. People may be asked to leave the fields if they are on there during a service.
