The Capuchin Soup Kitchen is pleased to share that on Monday, August 17, 2026 the Sarnaik Family Endowment will generously provide all meals served at the Capuchin Soup Kitchen. This endowment will continue each year and will ensure a lasting legacy of nourishment, dignity, and compassion for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity, while supporting the Capuchin mission of service to those most in need.

We are deeply grateful to the Sarnaik Family Endowment for their generous commitment to the mission of the Capuchin Soup Kitchen and for helping nourish our neighbors in need.

If you have been to the Solanus Casey Center recently, you've probably seen Br. McLean at the front desk, greeting visitors and talking with pilgrims. Today was his last day with us! The Center has been blessed to have Br. McLean with us while he was on his pastoral year where he was a faithful porter and helped with things like the Blessing of the Sick. Br. McLean is returning to Chicago to finish his studies and we wish him the best and look forward to seeing what God will do with his vocation as a Capuchin friar!
