And that’s a wrap! Mount Olive Lutheran Church & School Young Patriots Club recently held their annual Hearts for Heroes Night, this year making it Hearts for Heroes & America 250 Night to commemorate 250 years of God's good grace in our land.
It was an evening celebrating America’s 250th birthday, full of pieces and songs honoring America’s founders and history, our military, each other, and above all, God. Our young patriots spent countless hours learning these pieces with passion and enthusiasm, and on the night itself, were bursting with pride for our country and all who call and called it home.
Our young patriots had the honor of presenting Heart of a Hero awards to US Army Specialist Cooper Anderson and US Army Private First Class Sven Anderson and their family as well as to US Army Sergeant First Class Connor Schroder and his family.
And what birthday celebration would be complete without cake and gifts? The cake was a showstopper, and the gift of appreciation was felt all around. The Iowa Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution even honored YPC with their Community Service Award.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make this country into what it is and to those who keep us safe. Thank you as well to our Young Patriots Club families who support their children in honoring our country, military, and God. Happy 250th Birthday America!
