REPORT ON SUCCESSFUL CONDUCT OF TEACHING SESSION: "GOD'S CODE OF CONDUCT" FOR FLIGHT OFFICER CADETS*
1. Purpose
The purpose of this report is to inform the ACCTS Ethics Team of the successful delivery of a teaching session titled "God's Code of Conduct" for flight officer cadets of Nigerian Defence Academy, as part of their ethical and moral development training.
2. Content Delivered
The session presented a structured outline of "God's Code of Conduct," interpreted as universal moral and ethical principles applicable to military leadership and personal integrity. Key topics included:
· Integrity and truthfulness in command and followership
· Justice and fairness in treatment of subordinates and peers
· Accountability for one's actions before God and fellow humans
· Compassion and respect for the dignity of all persons
· Courage to uphold moral standards under pressure
These principles were grounded in scriptural references Micah 6:8 and explicitly linked to military ethics, professionalism, and operational conduct.
3. Delivery Method
The session was conducted as a lecture-based presentation without. The content was delivered in a sequential, explanatory manner, ensuring clarity and doctrinal consistency throughout.
4. Outcome and Cadet Reception
Cadets remained attentive throughout the session. Post-session observations indicated that the material was received respectfully. No formal feedback mechanism was employed, but the orderly conduct of the session confirmed successful delivery as planned.
5. Conclusion
The teaching on "God's Code of Conduct" was conducted successfully in a lecture-only format, achieving its objective of presenting a divine moral framework for officer conduct.
