By the time dinner rolls around, does anyone else feel a little tired?

Maybe you've been working, running errands, helping kids, cleaning, driving, or simply trying to keep up with the day.

Sometimes I find that dinnertime is exactly when I need a little spiritual lift.

While making dinner, listen to one of the music playlists on the Living app.

One thing I love about music is how quickly it can turn my thoughts toward Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. A single song can remind me of a scripture, bring peace to a busy day, or help me feel the Spirit while doing something as ordinary as chopping vegetables or stirring a pot on the stove.

This Scripture Study Stack doesn't add another thing to your schedule. It simply invites Jesus into something you're already doing.

And sometimes that's all it takes.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Social, Individual, Hands-on, Book, STEM, and Music learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

What kind of uplifting music do you enjoy listening to while cooking or working around the house?

Do you ever look around your house and see all the things that still need to be done?

The laundry.
The dishes.
The piles that seem to multiply overnight.

Me too.

Sometimes a quick home pickup can feel like one more thing on a never-ending to-do list.

While picking up your home, name a blessing for everything you put away.

As you pick up a shoe, you might think about the blessing of being able to walk.
As you put away a toy, you might think about the blessing of family.
As you fold a blanket, you might think about the blessing of a safe place to live.

One reason I love this Scripture Study Stack is because it helps me see my home differently. Instead of focusing on the mess, I start noticing the blessings Heavenly Father has already given me.

A simple shift in perspective can turn an ordinary chore into a moment of gratitude and connection.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

When do you usually do your quick home pickup?

Have you ever reached the middle of the day and felt completely drained?

Maybe you've been running errands, taking care of kids, working, cleaning, or simply trying to keep up with everything on your plate.

When I need to rest and have a snack, I like to use a few of those minutes to reconnect with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ.

When you need to rest and have a snack, watch a short Come, Follow Me scripture study segment on YouTube.

One reason I love this Scripture Study Stack is because it doesn't require finding extra time in your day. It simply uses a moment that already exists.

Instead of scrolling for a few minutes, let someone help you see Jesus Christ in the scriptures, learn a new insight, or strengthen your testimony.

Remember, connection doesn't always require a long study session. Sometimes it starts with one scripture, one thought, or one video that turns your heart toward the Savior.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Individual, Hands-on, Book, Music, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

Have you ever rushed through the grocery store focused on your list and getting back home as quickly as possible?

Me too.

Sometimes I get so focused on what I need to accomplish that I forget there are people all around me who may need a little kindness.

While grocery shopping, find simple ways to share light with others by smiling or saying hello.

One thing I love about this Scripture Study Stack is that it doesn't require any extra time. You're already going to the grocery store. This is simply an invitation to slow down for a moment and see people the way Jesus might see them.

A smile.
A kind word.
A simple hello.

Small things can make a bigger difference than we realize.

And sometimes those small moments change us too.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Social, Individual, Hands-on, Book, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

What is one small act of kindness someone has shown you that you've never forgotten?

Have you ever left church feeling uplifted, only to realize a few days later that you can barely remember what was taught?

Me too.

One of the easiest ways to remember what we're learning about Jesus Christ is to talk about it.

While eating dinner, have everyone share one thing they learned today that helped them come closer to Christ.

The answers don't have to be long or profound.

Maybe it was a scripture.
Maybe it was a hymn.
Maybe it was a thought from a lesson or a comment someone shared.

Sometimes simply talking about what we're learning helps us remember it longer and notice God's hand more often.

One of my favorite things about this Scripture Study Stack is that it helps us turn an everyday meal into a conversation about Jesus Christ.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Social, Individual, Hands-on, Book, and STEM learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

Have you ever picked up your phone in the morning and immediately started checking notifications, email, or social media?

Me too!

What if the very first thing you saw was a scripture?

After I unplug my phone in the morning, I will read the "Verse of the Day" on my Gospel Library app.

One reason I love this Scripture Study Stack is because it meets me where I'm already at. I know I'm going to pick up my phone each morning, so why not use that moment to turn my thoughts to Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ?

Set your Gospel Library notifications to share the "Verse of the Day" before you wake up. When you pick up your phone for the first time, the verse will be waiting for you on your home screen.

Read it. Think about it. Save it. Share it.

One verse may not seem like much, but one verse can stay with you all day long.

This simple Scripture Study Stack includes Social, Individual, Book, STEM, and Visual learning. Check out the slides to see specific ways each learning style can use this idea.

Do you have the "Verse of the Day" notifications turned on?

What if building a relationship with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ didn't require more hours in your day?

What if it started with habits you're already doing?

Over the next 30 days, I'll be sharing simple Scripture Study Stacks, small ways to connect with Christ while brushing your teeth, driving in the car, folding laundry, making dinner, and more.

Because sometimes the most meaningful spiritual habits are built in the middle of ordinary life.

Welcome to the series. I'm so glad you're here.

Before we start on tomorrow, I want you to know something:

You do not need to do all 30 Scripture Study Stacks.

You don't need a perfect streak.

You don't need to catch up if you miss a day.

You don't need to do them exactly as I do them.

Pick the ideas that fit your life.
Adapt them.
Make them your own.

My hope is that these daily prompts help you discover simple ways to connect with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in a way that works for you.

Because your scripture study is YOURS!.

7 Scriptures to Seek Jesus in the Old Testament

Seek and find Jesus each day as you read the Old Testament this year.

7 scriptures weekly that testify of the life, mission, character, and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Read one passage each day to find and come to know Jesus in the Doctrine and Covenants (individually or with your family).

As you read each passage, ask yourself one of the following questions:

What do these verses teach me about the life and mission of Jesus Christ?
What do these verses teach me about Jesus Christ?
What do these verses teach me about the character of Jesus Christ?
What do these verses teach me about the atonement of Jesus Christ?
Why is this specific name of Christ used in these verses?
How can I liken these verses unto myself?

How are you finding Jesus in the Old Testament?

Save this post to read each passage throughout the week (and share with a friend).

"Which of Jesus' names should I take upon myself this week?"

AUTHOR AND FINISHER

Scripture: 1 Samuel 7:12 “Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben-ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the Lord helped us.”
(the Lord had been with Israel through the entire journey)

Hymn or Song: “Through His Name” by Hilary Weeks

General Conference Quote: “I testify that the Savior is “the author and finisher of our faith.” Will you invite Him to be the author and finisher of your story?
He knows the beginning from the end. He was the Creator of heaven and earth. He wants us to return home to Him and our Heavenly Father. He has everything invested in us and wants us to succeed.” –Sister Camille N. Johnson “Invite Christ to Author Your Story” October 2021 General Conference

Reflect:
How will this name of Jesus help me this week?
What can I learn about Christ's mission or attributes from this name?
How can I become more like Jesus Christ through this name?

"My earnest desire is that you will come to know Jesus by His many names and that you will become like Him as you exemplify His divine attributes in your life." -Jonathan S. Schmitt (October 2022 General Conference)

If there is a name of Christ you would love to have featured in the coming weeks, please leave a comment with the name and I will add it to my list.
