Our nation is anxious and agitated. There is good reasons with having corrupt governmental leadership, disasters, political assassination attempts, funding wars that we have no reason to be involved, flooding our nation with dangerous and violent people by a border policy that is a farce, natural disasters that have changed the landscape of regions of our nation, only to be pummeled again by another hurricane, billions of dollars sent all over the world in humanitarian relief off the backs of hard working Americans, inflation is off the charts, property taxes that are doubling, and the American Dream of working hard and building a home is getting extremely far out of reach for the younger generation.
It is bad, but we are looking narcissistically through a narrow lens of our culture and our history and think we are the epicenter of God’s time piece. Reality check, we are not. There has been much darker times and insidious days in our our own national history and especially world history. Our faith must not be built upon how peaceful and prosperous we are as a nation, nor should we think the ship is sinking and think this means the Lord is coming soon. We are to be ready for His return, but we shouldn’t be shaken by the political upheavals, evil happenings, and natural disasters that have always plagued us throughout human existence.
It is darkest before dawn. Our nations greatest days may be before us. Proclaim the gospel it is the message of this hour and the hope for all in any stage of history. Rest in the Lord.
John 16:33
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
Philippians 4:6-7
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
