Christ Smiles Dental Mission is a continuation of a mission commitment that began in 1988 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas. Peace Lutheran Church adopted the following Mission Statement as an integral part of its role:
"We are committed to invite all to know and
believe in Christ Jesus,
and join us to live as Christ's Servants
ministering to folks in our mids

community, and in our world." Formal organization of Christ Smiles Dental Mission completed in 2015 with a Board of Trustees and a core group of participants and advisors. No one involved with the organization of Christ Smiles Dental Mission is paid for their services.

Our Story

We are an ecumenical group of women and men who come together to serve in rural areas of Central America and Mexico. Our calling is to provide quality dental care and dental hygiene education at no cost to those who are in the greatest need.

Christ Smiles Dental Mission is a continuation of a mission commitment that began in 1988 at Peace Lutheran Church in Hurst, Texas. Peace Lutheran Church adopted the following Mission Statement as an integral part of its role: "We are committed to invite all to know and believe in Christ Jesus, and join us to live as Christ's Servants ministering to folks in our midst, in our community, and in our world." Formal organization of Christ Smiles Dental Mission completed in 2015 with a Board of Trustees and a core group of participants and advisors.

Today, just as in the early days of mission with PLC we go to serve those in need, to teach the need for and practice of dental hygiene, to provide preventive treatments with fluoride application and silver diamine fluoride as needed, to repair and restore all the teeth that are viable and when there are no alternatives to extract. Our goal is to relieve oral pain and prepare our patients for long term dental health.
