Ezekiel 34
Irresponsible Shepherds vs God, the True Shepherd

In Ezekiel 34 we find the attributes of an irresponsible shepherd defined.

We also see the promise of the True Shepherd revealed.

Verse 11 ‘For thus says the Lord God: “Indeed I Myself will search for My sheep and seek them out.”

The sheep, especially the weakest, were pushed out. God finds them.

He will search.
He will seek.
He will find.

Consider this week how God found you.

Hebrews 11:6 has a clear 2-step growing of faith.

1. Acknowledge that God exists and
2. That God shows Himself to those who seek Him.

We can always assume that someone questioning us is finding fault to our harm but consider their truth the fiercest love defying what is trying to make us comfortable with ourselves and contained in the imperfections we are in.

If we want more, we are going to feel a little sore at times from the iron sharpening iron hits with “swords” & “daggers” & “knives” (aka words, thoughts & feelings).

If we let ourselves be chiseled, shaped, trimmed, pruned, groomed-getting the tangles out-we are going to see a difference in ourselves and in others.

We might actually LIKE the new creation, then, we are in Christ.

Just a thought.
