ZOOM MEETINGS WITH COUPLES MARRYING

Every couple getting married can connect with me via Zoom. I am available to discuss any topics or answer any questions they may have about their marriage. My availability is from 9 AM to 1 PM EST on weekdays and by appointment on weekends.

To date, I have officiated 598 weddings in 75 cities across the US, Canada, the UK, Spain, Mexico, Iceland, and other countries. This includes several destination weddings, representing 11 religious traditions and 95 ethnicities, encompassing all races. You can find more statistics at (https://interfaithmarriages.org/your-rabbi-imam-pastor-or-pundit-for-interfaith-marriages/).

Much of the specific information you may seek is summarized on our website at (https://interfaithmarriages.org/most-read-articles/), where you will find some of the most-read articles on marriages between people of different backgrounds. Testimonials are also available on the site. Additionally, I have written over 100 articles on interfaith marriages and Nikah ceremonies, and I am currently working on a book about interfaith marriages and raising interfaith children.

Part of officiating the ceremony involves coaching or guiding the couples to ensure a smooth transition into married life. The values they share in their daily lives are often similar: a belief in a creator, accountability for one's actions, and a commitment to caring for God's creation. While there are always slight variations in each tradition, we customize each wedding to reflect the values held by both families. I do speak with families as well, and have spoken with 650 families.

Alexandria, VA – February 20, 2026 -- The 64th Conversion to Islam marks a meaningful milestone in a journey that has unfolded over the last 20 years. When someone wants to convert to Islam, I go through a rigorous process. I ask questions and follow up with additional inquiries to ensure they understand what Islam is, without any pressure or incentives from others.
It is the 64th conversion to Islam in the last 20 years, and one more is lined up.
Individuals choose to embrace Islam after it appeals to their intellect. According to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), if you are an Amin, or a trustworthy and exemplary citizen, it appeals to others to appreciate your character and may inspire them to consider Islam. The question of who is a Muslim is further explored in the article listed below.

Ramadan Mubarak
God wants us to live in health, peace, and tranquility, and He guides us through various means to achieve this; fasting is one of them.

**Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Fasting**
Whether you identify as an atheist, Baha'i, Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jain, Jewish, Native American, Confucian, Pagan, Shinto, Sikh, Wiccan, Zoroastrian, or follow any other tradition, you may feel a sense of connection with the spirit of Ramadan as you read on.
There is a cause or a creator who brought the universe into existence, sustains it, and recycles it. The word for this creator is God, known by different names across languages and faiths. There cannot be multiple causes for the same universe. No matter how you address Him, He is one.

The physical journey of humans—from the union of s***m and egg to death—is precisely programmed. However, the only aspect that remains unprogrammed is our interactions with one another. These interactions can either create harmony or conflict; it is our responsibility to strive for harmony. The fundamental nature of humanity is the same for all, and there are no distinct genetic differences between Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus, or individuals of any other faith.

The Beautiful Relationship Between Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Hazrat Aisha (RA): A Timeless Role Model for Muslims

The relationship between Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and Hazrat Aisha (RA) stands as one of the most beautiful and meaningful examples of marital harmony in Islamic history. Rooted in compassion, mutual respect, equality, emotional intimacy, and spiritual partnership, their marriage reflects the true essence of Islam’s teachings on love and companionship. Far from being distant or rigid, their bond was warm, affectionate, and deeply human—offering Muslims across generations a practical role model for healthy relationships. HUMAN DIVERSITY
In the Quran, God states that He could have created all of humanity to be identical, but He chose to make us unique individuals. Each person has a distinct fingerprint, eye print, taste buds, and DNA, highlighting our exceptional uniqueness.

Additionally, God has placed us in different communities, tribes, nations, and, by extension, various ethnicities, races, and religions.

According to the Quran, the best among us are those who take the time to learn about one another, resulting in peace, security, and harmony in the creation.

ONE NATION UNDER GOD

Recently, I had the honor of officiating a unique wedding in New York. The groom's parents were Sikh and Hindu, while the bride's parents were Muslim and Christian. The ceremony beautifully incorporated elements from all four religions, a testament to the unity and shared values of the couple and their families. These weddings, with their diverse faith traditions, are a powerful demonstration of people coming together under the divine guidance of their respective creators.

It's heartening to note that 419 couples, despite their diverse races, ethnicities, and religions, have chosen to unite as one nation under God. This is a powerful testament to the unity that transcends our differences.

Additionally, 35 marriages were between individuals of the same race, religion, and ethnicity.

In today's wedding, the groom was French, and this is a familiar story in Canada and the US, where people from diverse backgrounds come together in marriage.

I admire the bride's parents for their open-mindedness. They didn't impose their cultures and religions on their children but instead instilled in them the values of their faiths, which the couples followed wholeheartedly.

In America, parents trust their children to make decisions that bring happiness to everyone. While religion holds significance, it has also become deeply personal. Religion doesn't serve as a barrier; as the poet Iqbal wrote, "Religion does not create barriers between humanity."

MOTHER TERESA - SYMBOL OF LOVE

One form of love is risking your life to care for others, sacrificing your life's pleasures for the good of others. She has been an inspiration in my life. There was a time in history when lepers were chased out of towns and villages and left to live in misery. Then came Mother Teresa, who sincerely loved humanity and cared for them in her Ashram. I associate the word "Love" with Mother Teresa. She sincerely loves humanity and cares for them in her Ashram. I associate the word Love with Mother Teresa.

Dilip Kumar and Me

1996- Taj Syed and I went to the D/FW, Dallas/Ft. Worth Airport to receive Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu. It was for a big event organized by AFMI, the American Federation of Muslims from India, of which Akram Syed was the president. He assigned us roles.

On the way to the Hotel in Richardson, Texas, we had some great conversations. Dilip Saheb and Saira Ji shared their excitement over witnessing the Milk Miracle, where the Ganesh icon drank spoonfed milk; it was big news in India then. In another conversation, I suggested to Dilip Saheb that Prophet Abraham shouldn't have done what he did, to which he responded humorously, "Mike Saab, Aap ko Ibrahim AS ko Mashwara Dena Chahiya tha," expressing it well with his eyebrows. I will always remember that expression. There was a considerable traffic Jam, and we were stuck on the freeway for nearly two hours, which I loved; it gave me so much time with Dilip Saheb.

After arriving at the Omni Hotel at the NE corner of Campbell and 75, Saira ji picked up a pillow and gently tapped it, saying she would not stay there; I have no idea how she judges the quality of the hotel room by tapping the pillow. Lata Mangeshkar once refused to stay in a presidential suite at the Grand Hotel on Elm Street in Dallas. I also remember Shahrukh Khan reluctantly accepting to stay at the Double Tree Hotel by Midway and LBJ.

I was lost and frantically called Akram Syed about changing hotels. Dilip Saheb tapped on my shoulders and said, "Mike Saab, if we stay here, who will benefit from it?" When I mentioned that the benefits would go to the children's education in India, he immediately turned to Saira and said, "Let's stay here; our children will benefit from it." His decision floored me. Then he told me to tell the organizer that it was ok.

During the conference, I managed Dilip's visitors and interviews with the media, including Ravi Kant from TV Asia. One visitor, Raj Sharma, attending an acting school, received a kind gesture from Dilip, who invited him to sit next to him instead of on the floor as Raj had chosen to do. And said, "You and I are equals in the profession."

I took many pictures with my camera, but unfortunately, the entire 35mm film was exposed, and no photos were available, which was a massive disappointment for me as I told my Mom about this significant moment in my life.

I am a big, unabashed fan of Dilip Kumar. The great actor conveys his emotions through his facial expressions without extravagant gestures. He can clearly and precisely depict a scene through his facial expressions. His eyebrows alone can describe the scene. Of course, he ruled Bollywood Cinema for nearly 50 years. He is an institution in acting, and the acting schools teach from his film clips. He is known as the first method actor preceding Marlon Brando. Prominent Bollywood actors like Amitabh Bachchan, Dharmendra, and others often praise Dilip and say that he inspires them in how to act in a given scene.

More some other time.
