Life has changed a lot recently! šŸ‚šŸ’— My husband and I moved to a new state, both have new jobs and working many long hours, a new home, and now a beautiful baby girl on the way! šŸ˜ That’s a lot of ā€œnewā€ to take in all at once. I’ve had some really hard days and also some great ones but no matter how the days fall - it doesn’t change the fact that I know we’ve been positioned here for a very specific purpose. He establishes our steps (Proverbs 16:9). What a beautiful comfort that has been for me during this transition!

I feel God strengthening me all while humbling me. That’s usually how it goes right? It’s in our weakness that we get to see His strength and what a gift that is to experience! Without uncomfortably and change there is no growth. God calls us deeper with Him and many times it will feel uncomfortable and that’s ok. This life is but a mere glimpse of all that is to come in eternity! The cost of feeling a bit uncomfortable in this life is worth it in the end. I’m so in awe of how He loves and cares for us even we don’t see the bigger picture like he does. He is trustworthy. He is dependable.

I feel God pulling me back into a season of intimacy with Him. A time when it’s just Him and I again. I’ve made an effort to be in his word every morning before I go to work. Not to check it off my list but because I NEED it. I need His word written on my heart before I go to work each day and before I have to face all the change. He is my steady rock and firm foundation. Oh what a joy it is to be in a relationship with Him, to know Him! Thank you Jesus for the comfort and peace you bring even when I don’t deserve it. I love you. ā¤ļø

My greatest love.

Accused, rejected, spit on, beat, broken and bruised for my sin. He in all his perfection, glory, and majesty chose to sacrifice himself to pay for my debts that I could not repay. Who am I to receive such a gift? I will never deserve his love. Thank you Jesus. The sacrificial lamb. My king. My life is yours.

We will never able the satisfy the human soul - not someone else’s and not even our own. But we can help lead each other to the only one who can! ā¤ļø Serving and honoring others well is one of the greatest ways to do this! To empty our cup for others. To walk alongside each other, encourage each other, and build healthy relationships with each other. In this, we pray that it will lead us deeper into a relationship with the only one who can satisfy and fill our cup - Jesus Christ.

Saying yes to new things that God has placed on your heart or that you know he’s called you to may feel scary and much bigger than yourself. Transformation can be very hard but so vital in order to access the beautiful and fulfilling life that God has for you! I heard it said best by a pastor in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He said ā€œLiving a life chasing after Jesus is like riding a horse. I noticed it’s much harder to ride a horse when you’re just galloping - the ride is very bumpy and you feel out of control but as soon as your ride your horse at full speed you notice just how easy and light the ride is. If you walk with God at only half speed it will be a very bumpy ride. But if you give Him all you got and run with Jesus at full speed ahead it will make your relationship with God so much more fulfilling and wonderful.ā€ ā¤ļø Sometimes we don’t want to go through the long, hard transformation of getting to the point where we can run with God at FULL speed. But I’m telling you, a relationship with Him running at full speed ahead is worth every tear, headache, and painful experience that you may have to face along the way. Living a life chasing after Jesus is a life worth living. He is worth it and deserves everything we have to offer. ā¤ļø

Prayer has changed my relationship with God this year. 2022 has been a very difficult year but I have seen Gods faithfulness in the ways I have not before! Thank you Jesus! You are so faithful! You are so good to us! You are merciFULL!

This year I decided to join a prayer small group through my church. I was nervous to join because praying out loud in front of others, especially other believers always intimidates me. But I was going through a lot and craving the presence of Jesus and I thought to myself what better way to connect with Him than to strengthen my prayer life. So I joined the small group. It took place very early in the morning on Sunday before church and I didn’t enjoy getting up early haha but I was committed. This small group completely changed my view of prayer. Now I find myself praying about all things and for all circumstances - big and small. I have a deep and quicken spirit to pray for those around me and for what they are going through. My heart breaks open to see our world and those around me change and fall in love with Jesus.
Now I know why it’s so important to pray.

Around the same time that I was in the small group, I also went to a Christian Women in Media Conference and as we approached our seats there was a book sitting on each chair. it was called - Praying Women by Sheila Walsh. I don’t believe in coincidences but I do believe in God and I knew he was reminding me to continually pray.

Fast forward to Christmas season, I’m shopping in a local bookstore and I see a new Bible study by Daily Grace Co. available called PRAY. Of course, I bought one and a few more as gifts. Another reminder to pray.

My mom not knowing any of this, puts prayer request cards in my stocking from Dailey Grace Co. šŸ’— Another reminder to pray.

This year, God has shown me the importance of prayer, that it works, and that it’s necessary. It is truly our greatest weapon in this life.

Hope this encourages someone today that your prayers are needed and they are heard.

I was visiting a store the other day and one of the employees made a comment that Christmas can often feel so depressing for him. He said he feels so excited on the weeks leading up to Christmas but when the day actually comes around he feels it wasn’t worth the hype.

This statement really struck me because I know he is probably not the only one who has felt this way.

Just like anything else in this life, if its missing Christ at the center then it will leave you empty. Jesus is and forever will be the only one who can satisfy. Without Him, there is no Christmas. Without Him, there is no everlasting life. Without Him, we cannot experience life so wonderful and abundantly.

Please pray for those around you this Christmas! ā¤ļø Pray that they will experience true joy and peace fill their hearts this Christmas! Pray for them to have a revelation of who God really is. For He is worth all of the praise, all the glory, all of the hype, and all of the celebration!!! šŸ™ŒšŸ¼šŸŽ‰

What is The Gospel?

The word Gospel means good news! We read about the fall of Adam and Eve and how sin entered the world. We remember the necessity that something innocent must die to pay for our sin when we read about atoning sacrifices in the Old Testament. We read that we have all sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God, and that the penalty for our brokenness, the wages of our sin is death (Romans 6:23).

We are all in need of a savior.

God chose us and loved us enough to send his one and only son to pay the price that we could not pay. Jesus was the sacrificial lamb. The sacrifice that paid our debts. Jesus bought us back from the clutches of sin and death. Jesus Christ knew no sin yet became sin so that we might become righteous through His sacrifice. He paid the ultimate price for us on the cross. Thank you Jesus!

Jesus lived the perfect life that we could not live, and yet died the death that we deserved.

The gospel is most profound yet simple. The gospel is the telling of Gods goodness. Jesus is the most wonderful, beautiful, powerful, and important gift we will ever receive.

Let the gospel speak to your heart in a fresh and new way this Christmas season! For He is the reason for the season. ā¤ļø All Glory to the King, forever and ever!

How should we treat those who have hurt us?

The Bible tells us, ā€œbless those who curse you, pray for those who abuse you.ā€
‭‭Luke‬ ‭6‬:‭28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

The Bible doesn’t say it will be easy but forgiveness is the way of Christ.

ā€œHolding a grudge doesn’t make you strong, it makes you bitter. Forgiveness doesn’t make you weak, it gives your freedom.ā€

A few thoughts this week: The greatest anchor to keeping people in church and in Christian communities is the building of relationships with one another. If someone feels disconnected with the members of the church then it makes it harder for people to want to remain in the church and to keep coming back. Without relationships, there is not much pulling them there and keeping them there.

It’s the same with our relationship with God. Going to church is not your main anchor to remain in Christ. Maybe you can think of a few friends that grew up in church but stepped away from God years later. If you don’t have an authentic and intimate relationship with God then you are missing your anchor. A relationship with God IS Christianity. Christianity is not only memorizing scripture or going to church on Sundays. Christianity is a personal and intimate relationship with Christ; inviting Him into every part of your life and living to bring him Glory because you love him and he loved you first.

It’s easy to think we know what Christianity is all about if we just go to church or read scripture. But until someone truly experiences a relationship with Christ then they have not experienced true Christianity. I think this is one of the most dangerous places that we can be in: To believe we know what we really do not know; To push God away based on the knowledge we have of Him without truly experiencing Him!

How can we experience Him? Seek Him. Call upon His name. Stay hungry for the Truth. Be open to an answer. He will show up! ā¤ļø

ā€œBefore I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations.ā€
‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Before He formed you in the womb He knew you! One of my favorite things about having a relationship with God is knowing that He knows me better than anyone else. He knows me better than I even know myself because He is the one who created me. This is one of my greatest comforts!

If there is anyone who has answers to your questions about your identity and your purpose it’s God. If there’s anyone who knows how to best console you in your desperation it’s God. If there is anyone who can heal your broken heart it’s God. If you have questions please ask him. If you have worries, please bring them to him. If you feel like you are wandering and have no solid ground to stand on then please stand on Him. He is the way and the truth and the life. He is the answer to every heartache and every tear. He wants more and better for you than even you yourself. You are his beloved. His chosen. His greatest masterpiece. šŸ¤
