Good afternoon!

Registration is now open for our Center for African American Church History and Research, Inc. 17TH ANNUAL HISTORY CONFERENCE.

This informative and entertaining Conference features film presentations, outstanding yet sometimes unsung heros inducted into our Hall of Fame, students receive scholarships and much more.

We are blessed to have lecturers from some of the best in presenters on the Pentecostal Family. Our 2026 Bishop Charles Mason Awards Luncheon keynote speaker is COGIC General Board Member Bishop Elijah Hankerson. You do not want to miss hearing from him!

Our Graphics Guru, DeLisa Reed (among her many talents), has done it again and created the flyer below for information on how to register. Complete your registration today!!

We look forward to seeing you there.

Blessings!

For 25 years, the Church Of God In Christ Scholars Forum has met during our summer conventions and Holy Convocations. Led by co-founder Raynard Smith, Ph.D., scholars from across the country and around the world inform constituents through thought provoking discussions and lively debate about issues concerning our great church and the larger Protestant body.

Taken from our newsletter, The Advocate, Raynard Smith, Eric Lewis Williams, Ph.D., and Eric Greaux, Ph.D. have edited articles to produce A Spirituality Suited for Our Times: 25 Years of Theological Reflections by COGIC Scholars. With over 60 articles of historical, theological, biographical, social witness and book reviews by academicians such as the late David Douglas Daniels, III Ph.D. (The Church Of God In Christ 2014 Commemorates its Founder), Sister Rana Beard Dodson (Black Lives Matter: We Found Healing in Rizpah’s Model of Public Grieving), James Boyer, Ph.D., (Gospel Music: The Soundtrack of the Saints’ Lives!) and book review by Candace Laughinghouse, Ph.D. (In My Grandmother’s House: Black Women, Faith, and the Stories we Inherit), A Spirituality is a must have for your library. Visit Amazon.com or contact Dr. Raynard Smith at [email protected] for your copy today!

Church Of God In Christ women have ministered around the globe since 1920s. From that time until today they have labored sacrificially, building schools, orphanages, medical clinics and churches while sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ.

Award winning filmmaker Lindell Singleton brings to the big screen the story of a 21st century heroine: Church Of God In Christ International Missionary Dollie Milfort.

The Rebel Missionary: Dollie Milfort in Haiti, a powerful story of hope and courage, will premiere at the 2026 Denton Black Film Festival January 28-February 1, 2026. For information on attending in person or virtually visit Film Festival – Denton Black Film Festival (DBFF).

Meanwhile, enjoy the trailer

One missionary has made 37 trips to Haiti. Now, in her late seventies, she must make one final trip.
