OKC Christian Women's Luncheon

OKC Christian Women's Luncheon Membership is free and open to all seeking to learn about God's glory and to support local missions. The lunch is $24.

Originally a Stonecroft Ministries organization, we are now a free-standing group of women (and men) who gather for a monthly lunch fellowship to share the gospel of Jesus Christ. Inspirational speakers who share their stories of redemption, presentations by a non-profit organization from our community plus a delicious lunch on the 3rd Wednesday of every month.

THE REWARD OF OBEDIENCE
Melissa Leyba’s testimony was so sweet. It was dotted with incredible God winks. Our God is an awesome God! And we learned today that she is a very good storyteller. We can’t wait to hear more of her story!

SECOND QUARTER MISSION
Every quarter, OKC Christian Women's Luncheon supports an organization that impacts our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through loving servitude. For second quarter 2026, we have selected “4word”.

4word: Oklahoma City exists to support women who are faithfully balancing work, family, leadership, and calling. We are not a Sunday school class or a “mom” group—we are working women who understand the realities of career demands, marriage, parenting, caring for aging family members, and serving Christ wholeheartedly in every role we hold.

LYN SMITH’S TESTIMONY WAS AS BEAUTIFUL AS SHE IS
She nailed it! When people disappoint or hurt us, or we look to people to be our hero, we have to remember that we’re all just flawed human beings! There is but one hero in our life, and that is Jesus Christ. He will never fail us. 💜✝️💜

Huge shout out to artist (who knew?!) and founder of The Kaleo Foundation, Pam Walker! The tulips in the lovely frame… such a special giveaway commemorating the beginning of our beautiful Spring season. My Salvation Army pal, Ariel Frace, was blessed with the winning ticket!

Pam, thank you also for the rubber duckies that went in our children’s Easter bags! Thank you to my sweet neighbor, Judy Howard, for bringing the children’s Bibles and the prayer cards, etc. for the kids and to those members who came early to help us assemble those.

Last but NOT LEAST, thank you, Jesus, for answering prayer when Melissa Leyba asked for 50 people to attend the luncheon during our board meeting yet the Lord went way above and beyond that! GOD IS GOOD!

TODAY WAS EVERYTHING GOOD
You know those kind of days that just start with love in the air… well that was our luncheon today. Meredith Shafer‘s testimony was beautiful and uplifting. Jesus is always with us—from the pit, to the prison, to the palace. Pam Walker with KALEO blessed us with gloves, coffee and chocolate along with the a God message. Kathy Rhodes gave me beautiful flowers and Quail Creek Country Club did not disappoint with delicious food. ☕️🍫🧤🌸

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY 🩷

Today is a perfect day to share God’s love with those around us. Especially remember those who may not have family or a sweetheart.

The Story of Valentine's Day

Saint Valentinus is remembered as a loving, compassionate and heroic person.

He was a priest during the time when the Emperor Claudius II was persecuting the church, around 250 AD. Claudias had issued an edict that young men were not to marry, as single men made better soldiers. They would not be distracted by thoughts and care of their loved ones, but could focus on their call to duty. In the very permissive society of that day (polygamy was popular), the church still viewed marriage as sacred between one man and one woman.

Valentinus believed those who were in love should be able to marry within the Christian church and remain monogamous. He defied the emperor’s orders, and performed marriages in secret.

Valentinus was caught, imprisoned, tortured and eventually killed for performing forbidden marriages and for ministering to Christians. Legend is that while Valentinus was in prison, he prayed with and saw the healing of the blind daughter of his jailer Asterius. Asterius and his entire household are said to have come to Christian faith as a result. It is widely believed that before his ex*****on, Valentinus wrote a farewell letter to Asterius’ daughter signed “Your Valentinus.” This was the first “valentine.”

CWC FIRST QUARTER 2026 MISSION
Every quarter, OKC Christian Women's Luncheon supports an organization that impacts our community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ through loving servitude. We have selected “KALEO FOUNDATION”.

Kaleo opened its doors in 2015, initially operating out of a home garage and distributing any resources they could gather to local children’s homes.

Today, Kaleo stands as a testament to the unwavering love of Christ, serving approximately 1.2 million individuals annually. This impactful outreach is made possible through the collaboration of countless volunteers, generous donors, and committed organizations that unite to serve the vulnerable in our communities.

Millions of children experience food insecurity each year. The Kaleo Foundation fills the gap by connecting human necessities with local organizations that support their community. When you partner with Kaleo, you become an integral part of the solution, providing consistent support to the children who need it most.

O’ COME EMMANUEL

Our December luncheon celebrating the birth of Christ and dedicated to our sweet board member, Jackie Susud, who was promoted to glory this year, was so heartwarming. We are delighted her daughter, Angela ajackson, was able to attend.

Special thank you to pianist Tom Nix and songstress, Joy Howell. And a huge thank you to Leigh Roberts for donating our beautiful programs.

ARIEL GOT A NEW HEART ❤️

"I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh". Ezekiel 36:26

Ariel Frace’s faith story was beautiful! Her new heart is not just a mended existence but a completely new beginning, where she lives differently, loves differently, forgives differently, and faces the future with renewed hope. God is good!

TODAY’S LUNCHEON TAKEAWAY
✅ Jesus came to seek and save from brokenhearted mommas to prisoners in a cell
✅ God’s timing is always perfect. Never too late. Never too early.
✅ If you are holding onto shame, let go. Once you are forgiven and reconciled to God, the shame associated with past sins is removed.

We absolutely cherished Roberta Lewis’s beautiful faith story. Loved hearing Wade Inman sing Andre Crouch’s song "Always Remember Jesus". And Associate Pastor Jed Chappell, founder and CEO of City Center, shared his powerful story of redemption.

Just a bunch of Christian ladies doing what we do best — giving all glory to Jesus Christ!

We’re gonna dedicate today’s program to our two members who passed away recently. The beautiful Anita Ashley and our annual style show producer extraordinaire, Barbara Smola, of Barbara’s at Northpark. We are so sad. We won’t see their sweet face again yet we are so happy they are in eternal fellowship with Christ! 🥰
