Upon coming across the tragic news of my first spiritual father in the faith Pastor Jesse Perez passing, I was dumbfounded. I was part of the group back in the early 2000s in Dallas, Texas coming off of a double life sentence I entered the Mens home (2003 after hearing Little Jesse @ the time playing his drums and getting ready for the Friday night service I the old moratorium bldg. on the corner), with a promise from the Lord. I had had an encounter a very unique encounter that I've written about in my book called. "I am bulletproof,"where I speak about coming out of the Dallas county jail going into The Victory Outreach East Dallas Mens Home where I experienced the love of Christ and developed a foundation for ministry that has enabled me to build upon a foundation of the rock of Christ of ages. I went on to Pastor and develop numerous Mens and Women's Homes, Youth homes, I have planted and help plant/pioneer at least 7 churches. Even though we went our separate ways eventually ,Pastor Jesse was not only my spiritual father, but he became for a time "Blood familia",see I had married his niece against his wishes, and I truly regret not listening to my spiritual parents at the time. They pleaded with me in their living room (Pastor and Pastora ) not to let go of the position as a Mens Home Director, and because I didn't listen it cost much heartache across the board for six years.Let this be a lesson for all the readers, especially those who are in a leadership position in V.O., don't take your position for granted and always listen and obey your leaders, "They have been put there to watch over your souls and give an account of you one day." I was married to his niece for a time. , but was blessed by the fact that I was obedient and went and saw him in 2013 at a pastors convention at mighty Man of valor in Ontario, California, where we were able to reconcile differences, I was able to repent and receive forgiveness. Only God is faithful to forgive us our sins. I treasure that most today as I write this. I want to send my utmost heartfelt condolences for what ever it's worth to Pastora Valerie Perez, Jesse Perez Jr., Tamara Perez, and last but not least "BeBe". Pastor Jesse was very unique in all the 25 years that I've been in ministry. I owe this man a tremendous honor of not only being able to know him, but to glean from him and eat from his personal table of wisdom. For a timed season/year I was the Mens Home Director for Victory Outreach East Dallas. "Big Mike" or Pastor Michael Stell now, was my Staff/Asst. at the time...Wow those were some incredible glorious days!! I remember them well. I learned a lot in that year Pastor Jesse always had wisdom and walked with integrity, which is something that we don't see too much of any more in the church these days from our leadership. I want to take this time to honor my spiritual father Pastor Jesse Perez may the Lord Jesus Christ who has already received him, walk with him on the streets of Gold and say to him "enter in my good and faithful servant enter into thy rest. Con todo respeto y con todo mi corazoncito...Dios te lo bendiga Pastor Bryan Miranda y Melody Miranda Fire And Water International Ministries
