Christ is risen!

“He is not here; He has risen…” (Luke 24:6)

This year, we had a unique opportunity to share the message of Christ’s Resurrection in a very unusual way — through a musical play called “The One Who Came Down from Heaven.”

Together with the youth from our church, we performed it 5 times in two churches, at youth clubs, including a club for young people with special needs. We also had the opportunity to present it to 150 Ukrainians and in all of our orphanages.

For our family, it was especially meaningful to serve together on stage. Even when Arthur was hospitalized with appendicitis, it didn’t stop him — he was still able to perform all of his roles.

“Do you really think your weapons can defeat God?” David asked Goliath.

Goliath stood tall, strong, and terrifying in the eyes of everyone around him, but David knew a greater truth: victory does not come from human strength, weapons, or power — it comes from God alone. And that day, God struck down Goliath by His mighty power.

In our lives, we also face giants — problems, fears, pain, and battles that sometimes look far too big for us to overcome. Some challenges seem as huge as Goliath himself, making us feel small and helpless. But when we call on God and place our trust in Him, He steps into our battles and makes a way where we cannot see one.

God fights for us. Every burden, every fear, every struggle in our lives can be placed into His hands, because nothing is impossible for Him. What seems impossible to us is never impossible for God.

Today we watched the story of David, and it became a true encouragement for all of us — a reminder that no giant is greater than the power of our Lord.

“The battle is the Lord’s, and He will give all of you into our hands.”

What a joy it is to see such beautiful feedback from the people you serve. Moments like these remind us that every small act of love, every word shared, and every prayer offered truly matters. Knowing that hearts are being touched and that Jesus is being revealed to them is the greatest reward of all.

“Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.” — Matthew 5:16

May God continue to use us as a light, opening hearts and leading many to His love. What a blessing it is to witness lives being changed through Him. 🙏✨

What a joy it is for our hearts. Even though Christmas has already passed, we are still receiving beautiful photos of children opening their Christmas gifts. Seeing their smiles reminds us that the love of Jesus is not limited to one season — He comes to us every single day.

Each picture is a reminder that hope, kindness, and love continue to reach little hearts. Being able to share the love of Jesus with these children is such a blessing for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for making it possible for us to bring His light and joy into their lives day after day.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights.” — James 1:17

Together, we continue to share His love, one child, one smile, and one gift at a time.

What a wonderful surprise we had with the kids—some were deaf, and some were CODAs.

While we were having a Bible study for their parents, we got a special time just for them. We played together, laughed together, and shared moments full of joy. But the most beautiful part was showing them a visual lesson about Jesus—how much He loves them and wants to be their friend.

Even without words, they could feel it. His love crossed every barrier, every difference, every silence. Jesus sees them. He cares about them. He is reaching out His hand, saying, “I am your friend. I will never leave you. You are precious to Me.”

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” — Mark 10:14

Thank you very much our friends from Odessa, who were serving and helping us with kids. We really hope to make a camp for these kids this summer.

We were given an incredible opportunity to gather for a truly special meeting with more than 100 deaf people. It was a moment filled with warmth, connection, and deep meaning.

Together, we shared about the great and unchanging love of God — a love that reaches every heart. We talked about how He loves each person personally, knows every story, every struggle, and every dream, and how He has a unique and beautiful plan for every life.

Through the support of Heritage organization and SurdoSchool, we were blessed with a wonderful place where everyone felt welcomed and valued. We were able to share a meal together, creating not just full tables, but full hearts. And as a small expression of love and appreciation, every person who came received a special gift.

This day reminded us that no one is forgotten, no one is unseen, and no one is beyond God’s care.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.”
(Jeremiah 29:11)

On Friday we were part of something truly holy.
The Night to Shine ball in Ukraine, Odessa was not just an event — it felt like a glimpse of Heaven.

We had the honor of being buddies for two incredible boys, Kostya and Ilya. And I can’t stop thinking about Ilya.
He is a deaf autistic boy. He does not hear music. He does not use sign language. He does not read or write. By human standards, so many doors seem closed to him.

But that evening, none of those limits mattered.

Ilya danced.
Not because he heard the rhythm — but because joy lives inside him. And as he danced, he noticed others. He reached out to girl in wheelchair. He helped those walking with crutches. No instructions. No applause needed. Just quiet, natural kindness flowing from his heart.

In a room full of lights, crowns, and celebration, Ilya reminded us of something eternal: God’s image is not defined by ability, speech, or understanding. It is written on the soul.

The world often asks, “What can you do?”
God asks, “Do you know how deeply you are loved?”

Psalm 139 tells us the truth about Ilya — and about every single one of us:

“For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
(Psalm 139:13–14)

Ilya was not broken that night.
He was not missing anything.
He was exactly who God created him to be — fearfully, wonderfully, intentionally made👑✨

Today at the orphanage something very quiet, yet deeply meaningful, happened.
We showed the kids the animated film based on Max Lucado’s book “You Are Special.”

It’s a simple story — about wooden people who give each other stars for success and dots for mistakes.
But behind that simplicity lies a truth that sometimes takes a lifetime to reach the heart.

One line sounded especially powerful:
“Remember, you are special because I made you. And I don’t make mistakes.”

At that moment, the room became very still.
As if every child heard those words spoken directly to them.

We talked about the most important things:
• your worth does not depend on others’ opinions;
• the Creator never makes mistakes when creating people;
• praise and criticism lose their power when you know who you are and whose you are.

The kids understood something essential:
they are deeply and unconditionally loved by their Creator.
And what others think no longer matters so much.

📖 “For You created my inmost being;
You knit me together in my mother’s womb.
I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
(Psalm 139:13–14)

Today I saw Max’s shoulders straighten.
I saw hope appear in his eyes.
I saw his heart begin to believe:
my life has meaning. I am special.

This year, we were blessed with the opportunity to give gifts to many different people, with help of Heritage Organization, we went to many places, telling Christmas story and giving each person a gift.

And with every visit, every meeting, our hearts were filled with joy as we saw their faces, their smiles, and their emotions.

Many of them later wrote back to us — sharing their gratitude and telling us their beautiful, touching stories. We would love to share some of them with you.

Here is the first one:

The Story of Andrey and Valentina

Dear friends, first of all, we thank the Lord, and from the depths of our hearts we thank you for the gifts you shared with us.
Although we are already adults, genuine care and attention always touch the heart. As we unpacked your gifts, my husband and I rejoiced like children. Every single item was something we truly needed for our daily lives, and it was so clear that each gift was chosen with love and care, and of wonderful quality.

We deeply understand that behind this blessing stand many hands and many hearts. So today we want to say a sincere and heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part — for your sacrifice, your kindness, and your love.
May the Lord bless each of you abundantly, and may He return to you twice the joy that you have given to us! ❤️

“Give, and it will be given to you: a good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
(Gospel of Luke 6:38)

It was such a deep joy and blessing to celebrate Christmas with the Deaf Society of Nikolaev. 💛
So many beautiful moments filled that day. During the Christmas quiz, we showed pictures of Christmas story and asked everyone to share what they thought was happening in the picture. It was so wonderful and touching—how many people were learning about Christmas for the very first time.

We truly had a wonderful time together, full of smiles, laughter, and meaningful connection. It felt like God Himself was present among us. Through His grace, He opened the door for us to prepare a special gift for every person. With the help of the Heritage organization, each individual received a gift. 🎁✨

So many hearts were filled with happiness that day. It was a powerful reminder of God’s love and care for every person.

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.”
— Luke 2:11

Praise the Lord for this beautiful opportunity and for the joy He placed in so many lives. 🙏
