Thank you to Harriet Gross for writing about her experience visiting Kehillat Chaverim in her Texas Jewish Post Column - In My Mind's I

Last Shabbat morning, I deserted my Conservative home synagogue to attend a special event at Kehillat Chaverim, a group/place I knew nothing about before I was lucky enough to be invited. Kehillat Chaverim, a small, egalitarian, traditional minyan in North Dallas, is excited to offer bar/bat mitzvah classes for both youth and adults! The course of study is flexible, depending on the student’s background. We have enthusiastic instructors who are willing and able to structure a 6-8 month program designed to be educational and fulfilling, leading up to an individualized bar/bat mitzvah celebratory service. For more information, contact Joel Roffman at 214-517-9437 or [email protected].

Last Shabbat marked our two year Kehillah-versary. We have come so far from the first minyan with no siddurim, no humashim and no Torah. Today we have a dynamic and energetic minyan, with an abundance of siddurim, new humashim and two Torahs.

Join us this Shabbat for a wonderful service with Kiddush sponsored by Don and Lynda Swartz in honor of their son Robert's 13th Bar-Mitzvah anniversary.
