I was spending a little morning Bible reading in The Passion Translation. TPT is always so rich and vivid. I love having this version and my NASB to compare how they each read.

As I was reading, I was being reminded that Ephesians provides good news and instruction to grow in your identity in Christ. Don’t miss it. They’re not suggestions. They are instructions straight from the Lord. We all miss the mark, but let’s begin to miss it less on purpose and direct our flesh to honor the LORD. 🔥💙🔥

“For God has re-created you over again in His perfect righteousness, and you now belong to Him in the realm of true holiness.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭24‬ ‭TPT‬‬

You are now:

• New in quality

• New in nature

• Different from what existed before

• Fresh, renewed, transformed

• Of a kind not previously seen

“But don’t let the passion of your emotions lead you to sin! Don’t let anger control you or be fuel for revenge, not for even a day.

Don’t give the slanderous accuser, the devil, an opportunity to manipulate you!

Lay aside bitter words, temper tantrums, revenge, profanity, and insults.

But instead be kind and affectionate toward one another.

Has God graciously forgiven you?

Then graciously forgive one another in the depths of Christ’s love.”

It takes a certain type of experience to be able to pray the words below. But it’s more than an experience, it’s a revelation of who the LORD is that unfolds when you walk out deeply profound issues behind closed doors 🚪.

There is a certain type of weighty, long-suffering, accompanied by private and public enemies, uncontrollable circumstances, and ultimately with the greatest hope IN the LORD.

Many of you have been sitting, watching, and waiting for the Lord to raise you up at the proper time. You have cried out that you will not be left to be dismayed, and that you will not be disappointed.

Understand, as hard as it may be to have to revisit often, that like Hannah, she wasn’t bringing forth just a son to fulfill her heart. She was bringing forth a Prophet who would partake in the life of other GOD-appointed men to change and lead the nation.

The weight 🏋️‍♀️ is heavy when you carry more than the common experience and lifestyle. The wait is often longer because the LORD is not just producing the day-to-day events. The LORD is working many things at one time, including what you know about Him, your character, your trust, your strength, your mindset, changing your own legacy even when things seem dismantled, and so much more. And possibly the greatest honor in all of this is that He is using you to stand and bring forth His purpose for many more people and generations than you have ever imagined. I won’t go into the rest of Hannah’s prayer, but at the end she begins to prophesy about what will be coming forth from the child she travailed for.

This woman groaned in prayer at the temple and was even criticized, mocked, and labeled by someone who was supposed to be spiritual enough to discern the pain in her spirit. The priest himself could not recognize in the spirit that the provocations and the many days of torment led her to the birthing of this Prophet, priest, and generational reformer.

What you gain in this long season of wait and weight, and inward pressure carries divine glory. The kind of glory that no human being can produce by skill or intelligence. No one can duplicate what you carry, because that kind of glorious manifestation is only brought about in the quietest, most private, intimate places behind closed doors 🚪.

I pray that your travailing births forth what you’ve been waiting for sooner than later. That your heart’s exhaustion would be lifted up and that which you have been pushing for will come forth, at the right time. I pray that your heart, your trust, and especially your character could hold what the Lord is trusting you with in JESUS’ name.

PRAYER:

My heart is overflowing with joy in the Lord because He has lifted me out of deep sorrow and shame; He has restored my strength, dignity, and honor after humiliation, and now I rejoice in His salvation. No one is holy like the Lord—there is no one else who is pure, set apart, and completely good like Him; there is no strength, power, or authority comparable to our God, because He alone is the Rock who is steady, unshakable, and faithful in every circumstance. 1 Samuel 2:1–2

You can read the whole story in 1 Samuel chapter one, but what Hannah did was 🔥.

You do the same. Dedicating her son to the LORD wasn’t based on what the child did or did not do. It was based on her love and dedication to GOD.

I too did this with all of my children many years ago. Don’t be discouraged if you don’t see what you’ve been hoping for in their lives. ☀️

Dedication and prayer:

“So I have also dedicated (surrendered, yielded, lent back) (your child’s name) to the Lord; as long as (your child’s name) lives [they] are dedicated to the Lord.”

So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD.” And he worshiped the LORD there.
