This is a song I wrote myself. I used AI to help with structure and rhyme scheme but I wrote every word. It embodies most of everything I believe. This song has been trying to write itself in me for some many years. I used AI that I have a subscription for to write the music. I own the song, the song owns me. Why Pray? We get God.

He made it clear, the greatest aim of our lives is to love Him with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength (Mk 12.30). Our ability to love God is in response to Him first loving us (1 Jn 4.19)

When we stop praying we stop relating to God in an intimate way. Our love grows cold, and we feel God is far away, forgetting that we are the ones that withdrew.

Jesus intentionally chose to pursue relational connectedness with His Father through the avenue of prayer (Lk 5.16). Even before His public ministry, the Father declared of Jesus," This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy (Mt 3.17, NLT) This highlights that love, not performance, is the foundation of their relationship.
Because of Jesus death on the cross, our relationship with the Trinity has been restored and we are given eternal access to approach God in prayer (Heb 4.16)

Jesus taught His disciples to pray (Mt 6.9-13), starting first with the foundation of "who" they are praying to--- Our Father-- Jesus is inviting us to experience the same intimate fellowship in prayer that He has with the Father. He wants relational intimacy to remain the foundation of our prayer life because it is the foundation of His.

This is the ultimate reward of prayer-- not getting specific answers, but rather the astounding truth that we relationally get God!

I've been immersed in tech since college — 25 years in IT, watching AI develop since the 1980s. And the longer I watch, the more it looks like a handful of tech giants are quietly racing toward something that sounds less like innovation and more like the oldest temptation in human history: defeating death and achieving eternal life on their own terms.
So I wrote a song about it.
It covers why that would be a catastrophically bad idea, the theological reason behind it, and most importantly — the only solution that actually works.
The song was built with AI assistance using Suno, and the video was put together using Claude, ChatGPT, Pika, and CapCut — so the tools themselves are part of the conversation.

I went to Brookhaven College where I was supposed to man an outreach table for our church. When I arrived, the table had already been taken. There were at least 25 tables set up, all manned by representatives from different Texas colleges.
So I had to pivot.
I went up to several tables and started conversations with the reps. Toward the end of each conversation, I would ask them what gives them hope. They shared things like their job or their family. Then I would ask, “Can I share what gives me hope?” Every one of them said yes.
The moment I mentioned Jesus, not only did I have the attention of the person at my table, but also the surrounding tables. I intentionally chose five tables positioned to give maximum coverage to the room. Interestingly, all five tables happened to be Christians.
I asked if they had a Bible study or church home and then challenged them to share Christ with others, just as I learned from TaTaylor Steele WeaverI estimate that at least 20–25 people heard the Gospel. I also included how to trust Christ, mentioning it clearly so anyone listening at nearby tables could hear.
The Christians I spoke with said they were very encouraged — and they were a blessing back to me as well.
It was a wonderful day. Because it was Presidents’ Day, very few students were on campus. Most of the time, the tables around me didn’t have any students at them at all.
Grateful. Encouraged. Pressing on.
