Save the Date: Pentecost Sunday at Northridge on Sunday, May 24 at 10:00 a.m.

Come dressed in your reds, yellows, and oranges as we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit! Watch our children process into worship waving their Holy Spirit wands — one of the most joyful moments of the year. (Children meet at 9:45 a.m. in Quillin Hall.)

Then stick around after worship for Kites on the Field — kite flying, light refreshments, and community in the lower parking lot.

Every child deserves to carry their belongings with dignity. Did you know that many children entering foster care carry their things in trash bags?

This May, our Mission Committee is changing that — one bag at a time.
We're collecting new or very gently used suitcases and duffel bags throughout the month of May. All donations go to the Heart of the Fatherless Resource Closet at Saturn Road Church of Christ in Garland, which serves foster and adoptive families across DFW — and receives requests for suitcases every single week.

Our organist, Maria, offered a lovely solo recital last weekend, and on Thursday, May 14, 7:00 p.m., her SMU colleagues will offer a group recital at Northridge as they prepare for their trip to France!

Mark your calendars: May 17 is going to be a special Sunday at Northridge! We are kicking off our summer worship schedule with one worship service at 10:00 a.m. in the sanctuary, where a prayground will be available for children and childcare will be provided in the nursery.

Following worship, we will gather in Quillin Hall to celebrate our graduating high school seniors and enjoy an end-of-year picnic together. During the picnic there will be a time for games, BINGO, and information about our summer engagement opportunities! We will see you there.

Sunday mornings at Northridge would not happen without our incredible volunteers. This Sunday, May 10, we are pausing to celebrate and honor our fantastic Sunday morning volunteers!

Our faithful volunteers include faith formation teachers and leaders, greeters, ushers, the 9 AM set-up crew, lay readers, livestream operators, the Chancel Choir, bell ringers, and other musicians.

Kids Music & More is back this Sunday!

Kindergarten through 4th graders are invited to join us May 3 from 3:00–4:00 p.m. in the Kids Music space downstairs for an hour of music, snack, and art.

And parents — while the kids are making music, you're invited to join Rebecca Sicks for a neighborhood walk. Meet by the office doors after drop-off.
